About OneHockey

In the summer of 2004 OneHockey launched its first Summer Elite Hockey Tournament in Sherbrooke, Quebec and by 2006 the number of teams and play-ers participating had grown to the point that the venue had to be relocated to Aston, Pennsylvania outside Philadelphia. Since our move to the Philadelphia area in 2006 the tournament has continued to grow. What started out as a weeklong event has developed into a two week extravaganza attracting teams and players from over thirteen countries. Our summer tournament brings thousands of players, parents and families tothe Philadelphia area.

We have added a spring event to our schedule in 2011. SUPER AAA level players will play in our Spruce Grove and Edmonton, Alberta tournament May 6th-8th.

Summer Challenge

The 8th Annual OneHockey International Summer Elite Challenge will be held in Aston, Pennsyl-vania, fifteen-minutes from Philadelphia, for a 6th consecutive year. The IceWorks skating complex in Aston offers a very nice four sheet of ice facility (www.iceworks.net), and is the home to the Delco Phantoms “AA”, the Philadelphia Little Flyers “AAA” hockey clubs, the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers Junior “A” team and the Newman College NCAA Division III Men’s hockey team. With the growth of the tournament we are proud to add a second venue, the Ice Line Quad Rinks in nearby West Chester, Pa., which is home to the Jr. Flyer AAA hockey program and the Jr. Flyers Jr. A team (www.iceline.info) The Philadelphia area is very welcoming during the summer and offers many interesting and fun places to tour and visit when you’re not playing. For a number of our players, this was their fifth visit to Philadelphia to be part of the OneHockey experience and we look forward toseeing them back this coming summer.

Many of our players have made lasting friendships and look forward to reconnecting every summer with their friends and families. Once you’ve experienced OneHockey you can’t get enough because no other tournament can compare anywhere else in North America, if not the world.

All American teams

As an individual player you are invited to join what we call an all American team. The team will be made off strong Elite AAA players who have either sent a resume, were referred by past players, or scouted by OneHockey staff. Following each event our coaches are asked to fill out a rating sheet and comment on each player. Only the players ranked as ELITE AAA players are invited back.

We realize that everyone is very busy with their current hockey commitments and we know to keep our summer event 5 days only. You should be prepared to jump on the ice the day before the tour-nament. Each team will have a two-hour practice and one preparation game.

Commitment, Hotel, Team Managers...

In order to make sure the team is organized, informed, and runs smoothly, each team is man-aged by a team manager. Your manager will contact you by email and you will get to meet your new teammates through your online team locker room.

Let Mary know you areinterested in finding out more about the team manager’s role and duties. – We offer a 50% refund following the tournament in exchange for our manager’s hard work. Team Hotel

Players traveling to the event are required to stay at one of our tournament’s hotel partners. Hotels are chosen by team managers. If for some reason you want to stay at a different hotel you can but make sure to let your team manager know. Failure to stay with one of our hotel partners could result in disqualification and removal from the event.

We are proud to say that we have had over 20 former NHL players, 2 NHL coaches have coached with us for the past 3 years.WehavealsoseendozensofJuniorandcollegecoachesbehindthebenchandmanyhaveactually recruited our players for their team. We normally assign former NHL players to coach our younger teams to give our players a very special experience of playing for a former NHL player.Asfarastheolderplayers(1993–1999)theywillbecoachedbyacurrentJunior,prepschool, youth elite coach, general manager or scout, which gives you great exposure.
