The name of Tendulkar's autobiography will be called “Playing It My Way”. The 41-year-old had indicated he would be coming out with his autobiography while speaking to members of the media during his post-retirement press conference.India's most decorated cricketer retired from Test cricket on November 17 last year after a two-Test series against the West Indies. Tendulkar's last Test, which also happened to be his 200th Test was played at the Wankhede Stadium in front of his home crowd

.The former Mumbai Indians skipper retired from the IPL after his franchise won the Champions League T20 in 2013. ODI cricket was the first format Tendulkar withdrew from after playing his last match against Pakistan in 2012.

At the time of retirement from all formats of the game, Sachin Tendulkar holds multiple batting records including that of scoring 100 international hundreds.

SOME MEMORABLE MOMENTS OF CRICKET GOD

Sachin Tendulkar has mentioned an incident where he recounted a conversation with Greg Chappell, then coach of Indian Cricket Team, just before the 2007 World Cup in which Chappell suggested that Sachin should take over the captaincy from Rahul Dravid, then Captain of Indian Cricket Team. Tendulkar writes that Chappell made the suggestion in presence of his wife Anjali Tendulkar, a charge denied by Chappell.

CONTROVERSIES

BOOK CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

"No one from the BCCI managed to call me or inform me of my removal as captain before someone from the media called to say I was no longer captain. I felt extremely humiliated to hear this.“

"I want to state very clearly that the (Monkey Gate) incident arose because Andrew Symonds had been continually trying to provoke Bhajji (Harbhajan Singh) and it was inevitable that the two would have an altercation at some point."

"Kapil Dev's method (as India coach) of involvement and his thought process was limited to leaving the running of the team to the captain, and hence he did not involve himself in strategic discussions that would help us on the field."

"I hated losing and as captain of the team I felt responsible for the string of miserable performances. More worryingly, I did not know how I could turn it around, as I was already trying my absolute best."

"Mind you, there is little doubt in my mind that we would have drawn (Sydney Test of 2008) had it not been for what seemed to us to be mistakes by the umpires and some rather unsportsmanlike conduct by a few of the Australian players."

The best of the best: Ian Chappell in 2007, had written in a column that Tendulkar should look at the mirror and ask himself if he was good enough to continue playing cricket. Tendulkar responds: "I showed him the size of the mirror in 2008 when we toured Australia (Sachin was man of the series in the VB Series) He should have realized that the man he is asking to stand in front of the mirror has played more cricket than him"
