Preschool
• Hi everyone, Mrs. Sullivan here.
• Parents could you please let the children know that although we are not seeing them every day, like they are used to, that we are still thinking about them.
• Please don’t do everything all at once. Five minutes, at a time, is more than enough for the little ones.
• Enjoy and stay safe x

Mindfulness & Wellbeing
Mindfulness means paying full attention to something. It means slowing down to really notice what you're doing. Being mindful is the opposite of rushing or multitasking. When you're mindful, you're taking your time. You're focusing in a relaxed, easy way. (https://kidshealth.org/en/kids/mindfulness.html)
During these uncertain times it's really important to consider how our children are dealing with it, especially the very small children who don't have the words to explain.
The following slide will show some basic emotions. Please ask your child to say or point to show how they are feeling. Talk to your child about their choice.
How are YOU today?

Key Skill of the Week – Listening and Following InstructionsIt is important, for all around development, that children develop the skill to listen to and follow an instruction.
Throughout the week complete the following activities to improve these skills.
• Give instructions to fetch an object/item - "Please can you bring your shoes/coat/bag to me?"
• Give two part instructions- "Please will you get a tissue and wipe your nose?" "Please pick up your toys and put them back in the box."
• Use toys and objects and props - "Can you brush the doll's hair?" "Can you wash the teddy bear's face?"
• As listening improves include more detail. - "Can you put the big car under the table?" Can you put the little doll behind the chair?"
