who is present Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity, under the appearance of the
consecrated host. Each week Eucharistic Expositions are scheduled to pray

of Dubuque) as follows:
Saturday- St. Mary, Eldora - half hour after 4:00pm Mass.
Sunday- St. Patrick, Hampton- 9:45am to 10:25 am.

Thursday- St. Mary, Ackley- 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is a time of silent prayer. Thank you for

Taize is a prayer style that originated in France around 1940. It is
modeled after the daily prayer of a monastic community of brothers. The
prayer is simple in structure, composed of short sung chants interspersed
with a scripture reading and silence. Please join Leon Kuehner and his
group of musicians at St. Patrick on December 14th at 7pm in this
beautiful prayer opportunity. Following the prayer coffee and cookies
will be served in the parish hall.

1st Sunday of Advent-"Be watchful! Be Alert! You do not know when the time will
come." (Mk:13:33) Advent is a season of Waiting. As Christians we are not only
waiting for the celebration of the birth of Christ at Christmas, but the day that
Christ will come again. We do not know the time. Are there any endearing words
you want to say to your loved ones? Don't wait.

A note from Fr. Tony As we begin this Advent Season, the best way of preparing ourselves for the coming of Christ at Christmas is by
celebrating the Sacrament of Penance. The Sacrament of Penance allows us to verbalize our sins and weaknesses which brings that stuff out of the darkness into the light. There is something about the verbalizing and sharing that brings healing and opens us up to God’s loving mercy. Please keep an eye on the bulletin for times within our linkage and in the entire Mason City Deanery. Never, ever be afraid of this beautiful sacrament!
Also, this Friday, December 8th is the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of Mary and is a holy day of obligation (another Sunday). Masses will be Thursday, December 7th at 6:30 pm in Eldora and 7:00 pm in Hampton. Masses on Friday, December 8th will be at 8:30 am in Ackley and 5:30 pm in Iowa Falls.
Finally, next Sunday, December 10th at the 5:30 pm Spanish Mass, we will be celebrating the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. This feast is a very important within the Hispanic community. There will be other traditional elements to this celebration along with a reception following Mass. All are invited to attend. Have a great week!
Mason City.
