Under the general supervision of the Platoon NCO and the O�ce Manager, the Communications Operator is responsible for the operations of a computer terminal and emergency response system console. The position includes both call-taking and radio dispatch. As a Communications Operator, you will answer emergency and non-emer-gency calls for service, process these calls for service according to established guidelines, communi-cate via computer terminal and

radio communications to responding units, and assess and monitor situations for the safety of the police o�cer(s) and the vic-tim(s). A successful Communications Oper-ator enhances public trust through a pro-fessional and empathetic response. They have a genuine interest in serving the needs of others, as well as the ability to work well as part of a team.

A Police Records Management Control-ler (PRMC) accurately enters, transcribes

and uploads police reports into a local Records Management System, processes

and forwards charge �les to Provincial Court and Crown, adds/removes and

maintains information on various police and judicial systems including the Cana-

dian Police Information System (CPIC). As a PRMC, you must be able to input data e�ciently, pay

attention to detail, organize workload in a multitask envi-ronment, understand the importance of con�dentiality,

thrive in a team atmosphere while remaining self-motivated, and work well with deadline pressures.
