INTRODUCTION

ZFN is an artificial protein that binds to a short sequence of DNA and a DNA nuclease which cuts at the site of binding of ZFN, so cells cannot be easily repaired.

Cell death is good in case of DNA damage, mutations, exposition to carcinogens or radiation and is so bad in neurodegenerative disease or in cells wich cant be regenerated.

When ZFN gene enter to the cell

starts producing ZFN proteins wich

destroy specific genes of cell DNA.

The bad thing is that ZFN may act on other genes causing injury and damage to DNA, for this they use a transport protein of ZFN

ZFN gene therapy is use to interrupt the expression of

receptor CCR5 of T cells,creating high resistance

to virus.

This new technique with ZFN is too effective because its actue on specific gene causing

minimal damage to DNA.

PERSONAL COMMENT

This research is a big

advance in human

genetics, because since

from many years ago

have sought a cure for

HIV-AIDS with no results

and this new gene

therapy may promise a

cure.

Toxins induce apoptosis its start in the

mitochondria, where caspases enzymes are

activated by accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS).

of de cell and depending on the

type of cell and the time it was exposed to the toxin and if they are activated or not caspases.

Despite of the cells can be left with damage or a mutation because the enzymes that

cleave the AND are activated even though cell repair and fixes the most breaks of DNA.

PERSONAL COMMENT

. This process is too useful for cells that do not have the ability to regenerate as neurons because with their death

the number reduces and will manifest different pathologies, so in these cells is better have some damage than to

be dead because with damages would do at least some of its functions

medicine and hope for many conditions such

as regulating gene expression. we can take

control of life to the point of being able to avoid most diseases before they show up.

improving the quality of life of people.

Gene therapy to make a zinc finger nuclease solution is a really cost effective because

it has the ability to act on specific genes and thus

ensures that the damage, DNA mutations and

alterations is minimal. So this is a real solution for HIV it is very likely that you can start

using in all medical fields

short exposure to toxins, will be a medical advance because it may arrest the

progression of neurodegenerative

diseases, may also be used in therapies against cancer, the quimioterapia

not would have to be continuous because it is toxic and it would help

reverse apoptosis

Medical utility New 2Anastasis is a big step in medicine because we may find a cure for cancer, something that has been sought for decades, since we could recover so that cells do not regenerate and can still perform their functions or some of them, thus allowing a person to have a better quality of life if you have some disease possibly reaching the cure.
