Plogging

On Friday the 1st of march we had an event called plogging with the charity

Plogolution. Plogging is an event where you have a bag, gloves and a litter picker

and you either run, jog or walk around your local park and pick up any litter

that you found in the park.

When we first started the plogging at Springhallow we managed to pick up

many pieces of litter around the front side of the school. Most of the litter

consists of pieces of rubbish, objects like a shoe or a radio, cans of beverages

(coke fanta etc.) some cigarette butts and we saw some pieces of broken glass

but we didn’t pick them up.

When we finished our plogging we all gathered in front of the school and

placed all the rubbish in the middle, we placed the rubbish into different

categories from tin cans to random objects.

We had a really fun time when it came to plogging it was a really good exercise

and is really good for the environment.
