Plum jam and walnuts

In this presentation I will tell you how to

prepare plum jam with walnuts.

Ingredients

• plums-5 kg

• sugar-2 kg

• vinegar-2 tablespoons

• water-2 tea cups

• cinnamon-1 packet

• walnuts-2 tablespoons

• citric acid-1 packet

Step 1Cut the cleaned plums in half and remove the stones. In a large pan pour sugar over plums and let it stand for a few hours. Mix vinegar and water and scatter them to the mixture.

Step 2

Place the tray in the oven and bake plums until the syrup thickens (for about two hours). Perform the desired consistency as drip drop on a porcelain plate. The mixture should not spill.

Step 3

Then add the cinnamon, walnuts and citric acid. Stir the hot jam well and pour into dry and warm jars.

Step 4

Seal the jars and store them in a cool, dark place.

I really love plum jam with walnuts when it is cold. My family always has it at Christmas time. My mother serves the jam with cookies. This is a Bulgarian tradition. I recommend this yummy desert.
