The opportunity to enjoy warmer weather and one of the region’s most outstanding golf courses have continued to attract more and more attendees to PMA’s annual golf, volleyball, cornhole and spa outing that until now was known as PMA’s Annual Spring Break. Since this signature PMA outing is no longer held in spring, it was recently decided to call it more aptly — PMA Summer Classic. The 2017 Summer Classic will be held at the newly renovated Woodmont Country Club Monday, June 26.
There are plenty of options to make this day fun and enjoyable for everyone. Play golf, or volleyball, take a golf lesson, participate in a cornhole competition or relax at a spa. After finishing your days activities, network with more than 350 of your PMA friends and peers at a glorious 19th Hole Dinner Reception featuring an amazing array of dinner options including Woodmont’s famous crab cakes.
GolfSummer Classic takes over 36 holes of the best golf that our region has to offer. Members and guests will play either Woodmont’s North or South course. The format is a scramble. Each foursome hits a tee shot and then plays the remainder of the hole from the spot of the best ball. The golf fee includes greens fees, cart, practice range, contests, breakfast, lunch, drinks and snacks throughout the day, the 19th Hole Dinner Reception with open bar and a gift. All golf sponsorships include a tee or green sign, the sponsor’s logo on the event banner, BULLETIN recognition and social media promotion.

Golf 101If you’re not up for a full day of golf, this year we’re offering a half-day golf clinic. After joining us for lunch, learn about the sport and accompanying etiquette and then put your newly acquired knowledge to the test with a few holes on a short course. The Golf 101 fee includes lunch, clubs, instruction, practice on a course, drinks and snacks throughout the day, the 19th Hole Dinner Reception with open bar and a gift.

Volleyball TournamentWho’s the best? Settle the score on the volleyball court by putting together a team of six players (at least two must be female). Awards are presented to the winning team and the runner-up.

PMA will contract and pay for the DJ for the volleyball court and cornhole area.
Beat the Amateur $1,600 (Exclusive, one per course) Network with every golfer on the course by challenging them to “beat the amateur.” The sponsor has the opportunity to designate a rep to hit one shot with every foursome. Sponsorship includes registration for two volunteers to represent the sponsoring company at the designated hole and attend the reception.
