Sustainability/Training Efforts (AL)• 5-07-2021 – at the request of Commissioner Boswell, submitted a

proposal for bringing training in trauma informed care to pediatricians in Alabama, using the PATTeR ECHO model led by Dr. Heather Forkey and Dr. Moira Szilagyi. Outlined how PATHS could support pediatricians as they work to incorporate the model into their primary care practices. Working with ACHIA (AL Child Health Improvement Alliance) in incorporating QI activities.

• Project ECHO offerings continue – hold a spring and fall series each year, for first time offering two spring series simultaneously due to growth

• Utilizing carryover funds to provide “lunch & learns” for our pediatric primary care partners. Trainers for these events are our Infant/Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant/LICSW, and staff from Alabama Partnership for Children, a 501©3 non-profit dedicated to improving outcomes of children from birth to age five in Alabama.
