A close-knit, long-term, one-on-one relationship between a student and their mentor. The relationship is characterized by: Conscious effort toward personal/professional growth

Mutual respect and mutual exchange of ideas, advice, and information your mentor may come to you

7

And interpersonal support. We want this to be a professional relationship you take with you after you graduate. We want this to be a person you turn to for professional advice throughout your career.8
