This is to inform you that the following actions have been taken up by this organization to comply with the Specific conditions along with the general conditions as mentioned by the Jt : Director MOEF.
A. Specific Conditions.
1. Manganese part has been tested by TCLP method from IITRC (Govt. of India) lab and silico Manganese slag has been tested from Kolkata based NABL approved lab.
The said report has been forwarded at the MOEF Regional office, Bhubaneswar, as soon as it has been Received ; copy of the same once again is being forwarded for kind information.
2. Permission from SWID Bankura for drawal of ground water has already been forwarded at MOEF Regional office along with the other papers in the month of Aug’08. Copies of the same once again is Being forwarded for kind information.
3. Manganese silicate slag (Solid waste) test results is well within the limit of Hazardous waste rule 2003, Schedule – 2 Class – B, SL. no – 29.
4. 100% Solid waste in the form of slag during the manufacturing process of ferro manganese is being Used as raw materials for manufacturing process of silico manganese.
The Solid waste as slag during manufacturing process of silico manganese has been tested and has Been found that the manganese silicate present in the slag is well within the limit of hazardous waste Rule 2003, Schedule 2, Class B, Sl. no – 29.
5. BCC 3500 nos. to taking 6000 nos. sapling have been planted as 3 tier green belt in the 2.5 m X 2.5 m Spacing. We have a program to plant the residual nos. of saplings within 2015‐16.
6. The manufacturing process of Ferro manganese and silico manganese do not generate any waste Water and as such zero base discharge is ensured.
7. Works of raw water harvesting and recharging of ground water have completed and commissioned accordingly.

General Conditions
1) This may please be noted that we are strictly following the pollution control rules framed By WB PCB and time to time they are visiting our plant. The current quoted report of all the furnace is also encloses for reference.
2) This is to confirm that no expansion project will be taken up by us without either proper Permission of MOEF, Govt. of India or NOC from the WB State Govt.
3) This is to inform that we have engaged one SPCB approved lab on contractual basis who Will check up the ambient air quality, fugitive emission and stack emission at a regular Interval of 3 months, which are being reflected in the log book maintained by our staff under GM’s supervision.
4) This is also being followed as mentioned at the Sl. No.‐3.
5) As a part of socio‐economic activity, we are providing School development Aids some cash Prizes for
a) We had supplied drinking water, 3‐4 tanker per day among local people at Barjora, Ghutgoria Hattola, Mondal para and Ghosh para from 1st June’2013 To Dec’2014. b) We have setup one ground water recharging unit along with Rain water Harvesting system where water is stored and used to the cooling tower for the Entire year. The entire project of Rain water harvesting at the work site of M/s. Cosmic Ferro Alloys Ltd. IS Annexed herewith Drawing of Plant layout and section of Rainwater harvesting plan are Annexed herewith.
6) This is to inform that the fund earmarked is not being diverted for any other purpose and Sometimes we have to spend more amount than that of earmarked. One statement is being Enclosed as a ready reference.
7) This has followed and have submitted accordingly.
8)Information regarding clearance of EIA has been published in the English and Bengali local News paper as per instruction and paper copies have been forwarded to MOEF new‐Delhi & Bhubaneswar.
9) This is to inform you that financial closure of this organization is 31st March of each year

PROJECT OF RAIN WATER HARVESTING SITUATED AT THE PLANT OF M/S COSMIC FERRO ALLOY LTD, BERJORA, DISTRICT – BANKURA.
1. Under ground tank for storing of rain‐water‐dimension‐8.5 meters x 8.5 meters x 6 meters
Volume of tank = 443.5 M3
Due to rainfall, water overflows to water tank directly connected to cooling tower to meet the requirement of Water of cooling tower.
2. Water tank connected to cooling tower‐ 17 meters x 8.5 meters x7 meters
Volume of tank = 1011 M3
Total capacity of storage of water = 443.5 M3 + 1011 M3 = 1455 M3 (Approx).
3. Total area of shed area where rain water is collected from the roof through the guard channel towards the Ground for storing in the water tank = 21.50 M x 42.30 M = 909.45 M2 with extended area and inclined surface Area, total catchment area becomes 1182.3 M2.
Annual rainfall = 1.5 M.
Taking into account of the evaporation loss the effective rainfall = 80% of 1.5 M = 1.2 M.
Thus the total quantity of estimated rainwater = 1182.3 M2 x 1.2 M = 1418.74M3.
Taking into account of water evaporation loss of 5% the effective estimated quantity of rainwater to be Collected = 1347.8 M3
The existing water tanks have the capacity to hold the entire quantity of rain water for the purpose of Harvesting and uses to the plant.
