section, answer the questions as they relate

to your business’s need. We’ve provided

examples for some of the questions and

suggested features to help you brainstorm.

By the end of this exercise, you should have

a clear direction on your system needs and

narrow it down to three systems.

1. ADDRESSING YOUR BUSINESS NEEDSYour search for a new retail management system stemmed from somewhere, can you pinpoint the challenges you’re currently facing and how a new system can address them? Considering your current needs can help you choose the right solution for future business.

C. Marketing: Keep your customers coming back for more. Every interaction with your customers matters,whetherit’sin-store,onlineorthroughyourmarketing.Whatfeaturesshouldbeincludedthat will help you retain customers?

D. Inventory and Purchasing: you need to be able to make smart purchasing and ordering decisions to keep an accurately stocked inventory. Better buying makes for higher growth margins, so think about the features you need to help make great purchasing decisions.

List out the hardware you need and add it to your search list. Ideally your point of sale provider will have a suite of hardware to choose from that’s readily integrated with the software.
