Miscellaneous. On the 4th inst., a man described as low size,

rather old, supposed to have something the matter ^ with one of his eyes, dressed in mole trousers, old

Crimean shirt, and black billy cock hat, entered the dwelling house of Robert Wilson, Guildford, and was caught by Wilson stealing pair light tweed trousers and one towel. Wilson tried to detain the man, but he got away, leaving the trousers and towel and also two cotton shirts behind him. In the scufile, Wilson

4 tore the man's Crimean shirt on the back. This man is supposed to be James Clintou, exp., late Col. Reg. No. 10040.

ANTONIO FOSTELLAN (Greek), ALEXANDER COX, and MAUEICE CARROLL; charged at Pinjarrah, on 23rd ult., by P.C. Holmes, with destroying two swans, on 17th ult., during the prohibited season. Cox and Carroll discharged, Fostellan fined Ss. and 10s.

T w o T h o u s a n d P o u n d s R e w a r d . WHEREAS on Saturday morning, the 26th instant, a party of four members of the police force, namely. Sergeant Kennedy, and Constables Mclntyre, Scan-Ion, and Lonigau, who were in the King River District, were surrounded by four men who presented arms, and called upon the said members of the police force to surrender; And whereas. Constables Loni­gau and Scanlon were shot dead, Mclntyre escaped to Mansfield, and Sergeant Kennedy has not yet been heard of. Notice is hereby given, that a reward of Five hundred pounds will be paid by the Govern­ment for such information as will lead to the capture of each of the said four ofi'enders.

This notification is in lieu of that which appeared in the Supplement to the Gazette issued on Monday last, the 28th instant, that notification and all copies thereof being hereby cancelled.

Description of the Offenders.

Two of the four Murderers are supposed to be Edward and Daniel Kelly; of the other two, the following description has been furnished by Constable Mclntyre:—•

First Man: Name unknown, about 21 years of age, Sft. high, slight build, very fair comi>lexion, whiskers, beard, and moustache thin, mild expression of features.

Second Man: Name unknown, about 19 years of age, stout build, only a few straggling hairs on face, sinister expression.

Amended Pescription of Offenders.

1st. EDWAED KELLY, 23 years of age, looks older, sallow complexion, dark brown hair, full beard and moustache of a dirty dark red color, moustache cut square across the mouth, hazel eyes with a greenish tint, wore dark tweed clothes, red silk sash, dark low hat.

2nd. DANIEL KELLY, 17 years of age, looks older, Sft. 5 or 6in. high, very dark hair aud complexion, small dark piercing eyes, beard not grown.

Srd. Name unknown, 21 years of age, Sft, 9in. high, very fair complexion, fair moustache, and long beard on chin, very fine, like first growth, respectable looking, supposed identical with Charley Brown.

4th. Name unknown, 19 or 20 years of age, Sft. Sin. high, fairish complexion, rather stout, straggling hairs over face, slightly hooked nose, sinister appear­ance.

The following horses, believed to have been taken from the murdered men, are described as follows:—

1st. Chestnut gelding, cro^vn, M 42, like C over 2 reversed off shoulder, stout build, clipped last winter.

2nd. Brown mare, crown over 09 JS blotched near rump, small star, white hairs top of tail, well bred.

Srd. Bay mare, crown over P 38, J R 0 over 142 near shoulder, hind feet white.

4th. Bay gelding, B 87, bell brand over D near shoulder, rather hollow back.

Sth. Bay gelding, P 183 off shoulder, W S near shoulder.

Supposed another police horse, no description at present.

on 18th inst., that while he was at Cockle Shell Gully, in September last, a man came to his hut one night and asked to be put on the road ; he stated his name was Thonipson, and was an outlaw having escaped from the gaol, and was going to try and make Dempster's Island. Description of man :—tall and middle aged, mounted on a small bay pony.

On the 9th inst., a hut belonging to David James, shepherd, in H. B. Lefroy's employ, Victoria Plains, was burnt down ; there were about £8 worth of pro­perty in the hut, consisting of bedding, wearing apparel, rations, &c. Jiggalong, ab. nat., is suspected of plundering the hut and then setting fire to it.

THOMAS SAVAGE, exp., late 9864, was found dead SO miles from Beverley by P.C. Edwards, on the 18th inst.; Savage was in W. Kett's employ, and was lost in the bush 100 miles from York, since the l l t h inst.
