This is a service specially designed to respond to the needs of Politecnico di Milano's disadvantaged/handicaped students.
The students are provided with laptop computers hooked up to the University network (the connection costs are covered entirely by Politecnico) that enable them to follow lessons live from home.
A "multimedia knapsack", a kit that can be easily carried into classrooms not equipped for distance teaching, guarantees the service is also provided in situations that present technical difficulties.
Recorded in digital format and delivered by means of streaming audio and video, the lessons remain available online for delayed viewing as well.
