Stuart Robertson is the Vice President and Research Director of Gemworld International, Inc., a research and consulting firm that analyzes and reports market conditions relevant to the international diamond and colored stone trade.

Çigdem Lüle is the Director of Development at Gemworld International, Inc. She develops and administers a series of practical educational workshops pertaining to specific pricing and identification challenges faced by gemologists and gem dealers today.

+ Dr. Lüle earned her PhD. in Mineralogy at Hacettepe University in Turkey. Her interest in mineralogy evolved to focus on gem and ornamental minerals.

+ In 1997, she was awarded the British Council of Turkey Scholarship to study gemology at the prestigious Gemmological Association of Great Britain in London.

+ In 2000, she was granted the Chevening Scholarship for PhD. research at the Ashmolean Museum of Oxford and the Natural History Museum of London, UK by the British Council of Turkey.

+ In 2005, she earned a graduate gemologistdiploma from the Gemological Institute of America. Dr. Lüle was employed as an instructor at the London Campusof the GIA from 2004 until 2010.

+ In 2016, she received the Antonio C. Bonanno Award for Excellence in Gemology from the voting members of the Accredited Gemologists Association.

She is a contributing editor of the GemGuide’s Gem Market News and also the technical advisorof the World of Color, color communication system, a joint venture between Professional Gem Sciences and Gemworld International, Inc.

As a research gemologist, Çigdem has dedicated a large part of her professional career to the identification of gem findings from archaeological sites. The focus of her subject is to establish the geologic and geographic origin of ancient specimens by use of nondestructive gemological and mineralogical testing techniques. This areaof research is known as archaeogemology.

In addition to her work in archaeogemology, Çigdem’s ongoing research in gem nomenclature and color descriptions earned her recognition of her peers.

ABOUT LARRY BOCKLarry Bock joined Hoover & Strong in 2008. In his 20 years in the jewelry industry, Larry has served as COO of Diamond Deal Corp and Director, Sales and Marketing for R&R Grosbard, Inc. From 1988 – 1996, he worked as a community organizer and lobbyist for Citizen Action and the Long Island Sound Taskforce to protect drinking water supplies and reduce air and water pollution. VAULT STORAGE INFORMATION

All goods in the vault must be checked in with the guards and stored in safety deposit boxes, which are armor plated, solid steel safe deposit boxes that operate on a two-key system. Only the registered safe holder can access the safes and will be accompanied by security. A fee of $100 will be charged to any safe holder who loses their keys.

The use of one safety deposit box in the vault is included in the packages for Gold and Silver booth holders. Other exhibitors and attendees are encouraged to use the vault. The fee per safety deposit box on April 2 and 3 (including overnight) is $100.00. If you have goods you would like to store in a secure, insured setting before the show opens (March 31 & April 1), Malca-Amit will be on-site to do pick-ups and provide storage at their local facilities.

EACH SAFETY DEPOSIT BOX MEASURES

A show vault will be provided for goods storage as of 8am on Sunday, April 2nd, 2017

until 3pm on Monday, April 3rd, 2017. The vault will be located on the show floor, under video surveillance, and

guarded by armed guards.


SHIPPING, ARMORED CAR & INSURED STORAGE SERVICES

In addition, Malca-Amit will offer armored car services and insured storage for goods on Friday and Saturday at their Chicago facilities. Attendees who wish to use this service should plan to drop off their goods with Malca-Amit at the show site, based on the event pick-ups schedule below.

+ $65 per shipment up to $30k worth of goods+ $0.10 / $1k over $30k

Polygon is partnering with Malca-Amit as the official armored car service, insured shipping, and on-site insurance service. Discounted rates will be offered for show attendees. Malca-Amit will be on-site for deliveries and pick-ups.
