Texture (WT#100) Coating SystemPolyurethane Resin Base (WT#100) Coating System

High Performance & Durable Colour Solution

Progressive Cross-linking Technology Polyurethane Resin Base (WT#100) Coating System is an especially high

performance and durable polyurethane paint for applying on new project of

government headquarter, new school, university, factory for external wall,

semi-open area of corridor as well as metal surface as stainless steel frame

    etc.

With our advanced Cross-linking Technology, Polyurethane Resin Base

Coating System surpasses the durability and performance of convention

acrylic coating or polyurethane paint. The resin particles fuse together

forming a markedly durable paint as the water evaporates, providing a highly

dense coloured film for outdoor area of external wall that keeps buildings in

original condition for more than ten years.

Water Based Polyurethane Resin Base (WT#100) Coating System is

formed by a reaction between hydroxy and isocyanate compounds with

acrylic synthetic. Polyurethane Resin Base (WT#100) Coating System is

tough and abrasion-resistant, providing excellent chemical and solvent

resistance, weathering properties, gloss retention and the one-pack type

formulations are sensitive to moisture in the wet stage, with an outstanding

resistance to humidity, acids and alkali. Product Description

    Application Guideline

    Substrate Preparation 1. New Surface

1.1 Curing time for the following substrates Plaster (mortar), stucco : 2 weeks Precast concrete : 1 week minimum (forced curing) Poured in place concrete : 3 weeks minimum Moisture content is less than 10% and alkaline pH content is

    less than 10

1.2 Application surface must be smooth and free of voids or sharp projections.

1.3 Any application surface such as precast concrete, with

excess pinholes, honeycomb, cracks, uneven or porous condition, should be filled up prior to the application.

1.4 Any application surface, with laitance, efflorescence, dust,

rust, oil grease, curing agent etc. must be removed completely by brushing, sanding or other effective means.

1.5 Apply Tile Filler/Skim Coat onto sound, clean, dry and

sufficiently smooth that accepted as an appropriate substrate for the application of Bonntile products.

1.6 Curing time for Tile Filler/Skim Coat: minimum three days

Moisture content is less than 10% and alkaline pH content is less than 10

    2. Old Surface 2.1 All loosen coating on the application surface should be

removed by wire brushing, sanding or other effective means. 2.2 Any laitance, efflorescence, dust, rust or oil grease must be

removed completely by brushing, sanding or other effective means.

2.3 All defective areas, hollow plasters and spoiling concrete must

be hacked off. 2.4 Defective wall surfaces must be repaired by filling cracks or

re-plastering of hacked off portions. 2.5 To paint areas must be cleansed by high-pressure water jet

at 1,500 psi and all surfaces should be of the sound, clean, dry and sufficiently smooth that accepted as an appropriate substrate for the application of Bonntile products.

Precast Concrete, Concrete, CAB, Plaster (Mortar), Stucco, Existing Painting

    18 kg/can Water 100% 0.1 kg/m2/coat

    1.2 Mixing Instructions

Mix thoroughly in proportions as outlined above. 1.3 Application Method

Apply sealer with a roller or by conventional spray. (Do not apply below 5oC)

1.4 Drying Time 20°C over 30 minutes Sealer becomes clear when dry.

    2 Texture Compound

2.1 Package, Thinning Ratio and Coverage Rate

Net Weight Citron Thinner Dilution Coverage (Approx.)

    20 kg/can Heavy Texture Water 0~5% 1.3~1.7 kg/m2/coat Medium Texture Water 0~5% 0.8~1.0 kg/m2/coat Fine Texture Water 0~5% 0.5~0.7 kg/m2/coat

    2.2 Mixing Instructions

Mix Texture Compound thoroughly. Add water in proportions as outlined above. Mix thoroughly again. Texture Compound is ready for immediate use after completion of the mixing procedures.

2.3 Application Procedure Use Bonntile Hopper Gun or approved equipment only.

The following nozzle sizes are recommended for heavy, medium, and fine texture coatings:

    Texture Coating Nozzle Size

Heavy Texture 8 mm (1/3 inch) Medium Texture 6 mm (1/4 inch)

Fine Texture 4 mm (1/6 inch)

Texture compound may be applied at any time when it is dry and above 5°C. After heavy rainfall, the surface should be allowed to dry thoroughly for at least 1-3 days before

application of texture compound. (Note: Do not expose the mixed texture compound to sunlight for a long period of time.)

Sprayed texture compound should be allowed to dry thoroughly for at least 16 hours prior to applying topcoat.

Texture (WT#100) Coating SystemPolyurethane Resin Base (WT#100) Coating System

    2.4 Application Method

Use roller or spray Mask all adjacent areas Remove all over-spray immediately

    2.5 Application Technique Unrolled Texture

    • Keep the gun nozzle at a distance of two (2) feet from the surface to be sprayed. • Spray texture compound with the gun nozzle at a right angle to the surface to be sprayed

    • Best results are achieved by confining length and height of spray area to the body dimension of applicator (i.e. height of reach and width of arm spread), continuing with additional spray areas until the application surface has been completely coated.

    • Plan spray work to finish at a joint line at the end of work period. (Note: Do not overlap previously sprayed dry compound.)

    3 Surfacer Coating

3.1 Package, Thinning Ratio and Coverage Rate

    Packaging 15 or 16 kg/can Thinner Water Dilution 6% (Approximately) Coverage 0.16~0.2 kg/m2/coat (Approximately)

    3.2 Mixing Instructions

Add one (1) litre of water into the surfacer container Mix thoroughly

3.3 Application Procedure Shake and stir surfacer thoroughly to get a complete dispersion of pigment. Use standard practice, either by rolling or spraying, to ensure conformance to the specification

requirement. Brush may be used for small areas or touch up only. Drying time may take within four (4) hours at 20°C Workers, applying surfacer in confined areas, are required to wear protection masks and

exhaust ventilation should be properly supplied to the confined area. 4 Topcoat

4.1 Package, Thinning Ratio and Coverage Rates

    Package 16 kg/can Thinner Water Dilution 2~10% (Approximately) Coverage 0.15~0.2 kg/m2/coat (Approximately)

    4.2 Application Procedure

Shake and stir Topcoat thoroughly to get a complete dispersion of pigment. Use standard practice, either by rolling or spraying, to ensure conformance to specification

requirement. Brush may be used for small areas or touch up only. For the application of topcoat in confined areas, workers are required to wear masks, and

exhaust ventilation should be properly supplied to the confined areas.
