HistoryVisitors step back in time to 1645 and are welcomed into the Manor by the costumed servants who follow the traditional domestic and farming rhythms of life in the countryside. They share the folklore and customs of the changing seasons and news of the turmoil created by the civil war as it impacts upon their families. Admission charges apply.

Visitor CentreEntry to the Visitor Centre is free of charge. It houses an exhibition about the history of the Manor, a coffee lounge serving lunches & snacks & a shop stocking a wide range of gifts, books & jewellery & Tourist Information.

GardensThe small formal 17th century gardens include a knot garden, pleached walk, orchard and physic and kitchen gardens featuring species of plants and trees from 1645 or earlier.

Haunted!By night the legacy of former occupants lives on in our reputation for being genuinely haunted. The Ghost Tour Season is from October to March where you will hear true stories of the uncanny experiences of staff and visitors. Scientific investigations for small groups are held monthly or by arrangement.
