We've made some changes to the firmware for the USB swirl meter for better data quality when reading Average swirl averaged over either a 5 or 10 sec period. The improvements are in firmware version 3.06 or later. You can now specify a Micro USB Version in the Calibrations screen Under Swirl/Tumble Meter Type.
There is a 'Help' option at that drop down menu also for more explanation.
Program now checks firmware version for the USB Motor Controller and displays it. Certain features are done differently in the program depending on firmware version of the controller.
Now if the program temporarily turns off the motor controller, it is actually just temporary.
There is a new setting in the program's Motor Controller settings screen for "Pressure Changes High/Low?" to better accomodate Superflow benches and their valve which switches manometer pressure.
The 'Tune' procedure for tuning the Motor Controller has had some bugs fixed and now works better.
If you have set the Preference of Auto Checking Com Ports to No, the program does not check other Com Ports. Prior to this, some checking was done if program sensed the program had not recently communicated to the Black Box or Flow Com.
If you have a Motor Controller and you Rezero the pressure sensors, the program asks if you want the Motor Controller's pressure sensor to be zero'd out also.

Corrected a problem where high negative swirl was not graphed correctly.
Replaced the graph option of Swirl Stab with Swirl (abs) to graph absolute value of swirl. This graphs all swirl numbers as a positive number so you can see RPM, but not direction.
Corrected a problem where data other than CFM (like swirl) would not always be graphed or reported correctly if the valve lifts were not in order or similar for different ports.
Correct problem where opening 'Tip' would always show again, even if you selected to not see it again.
Added Mass Flow calculations to graphs and reports for English units at this time only. THIS HAS NOT BEEN DONE FOR METRIC VERSION.
Added Option in FlowCom screen to ReZero Swirl/Tumble.

The Test Summary was not correctly stating # valves and calculating Port

Added ability to read Cam Files in Engine Specs.
Added several engine analysis graphs like Psuedo Flow Velocity, Piston Velocity, Piston Acceleration and Piston Position. Psuedo (false) Flow Velocity is the calculated INCOMPRESSIBLE velocity of the air as it passes through the valve. Some engine builders like to look at these numbers as they make changes to the head flow, cam profile, rod length, etc. HOWEVER, this is NOT the
TRUE air speed, because air can compresses and expand, and its density changes with temperature. True air speed and tuning details ARE calculated in the Engine Analyzer Pro, which gives a much more realistic idea of what is actually happening.
Fixed bug where "Unstable" was not being recorded correctly when using the Performance Trends Electronic Interface.

Data tables included with graph were not using 'Alternate Names' which you had entered manually. Force erase of cylinders when # Cyl to Test is INCREASED from say 3 to 4. This ensures old tests (which could have data in other 'ports) are blanked out when cylinders are added to a test.

After saving to floppy disk, the file on the floppy drive stayed the Current File, rather than returning to the original file.
Improved formating of ASCII files, especially when % Exh/Int was in a column.
Now allow 32 graph lines to be graphed at 1 time, which allows 2 8 cyl heads or 4 4 cyl heads to be graphed at once.
When Editting Ports, the Leakage values were being Swapped when they should have been only Copied to other ports.
When Entering CFM Directly, the Test Pres Column has been eliminated. The test pressure for the CFM data is now set as the Test Pressure in the Test Options menu. This
change eliminates a possible problem when Test Options Test Pres does not match Test Pres in the Data Grid column.
