Cutting Machine Assembly
Our manufacturing area consists of a machine shop, saw shop, two assembly shops, a burn shop, and a weld shop. Handling nearly all manufacturing in-house helps us maintain our extremely high quality. Our factory uses 5S, a lean tool directive, that increases productivity through tidiness and improved organizational practices. We have the capacity to run three shifts with approximately 100 employees per shift. Machining capabilities range anywhere from a small nut to a large weldment. The Custom series regulators are designed to maintain pressure settings for cutting, welding and heating work. The bright red and green regulators allow the operator to quickly identify red for fuel and green for oxygen. It is recommended to use flashback arrestors such as the Silver Sentential or Sentinel Plus for added protection.
Recommended equipment
We recommend the Koike Sentinel Plus flashback arrestor to prevent dangerous and damaging backfires and flashbacks from reaching the regulators or gas supply. A unique gas supply interrupt feature shuts down the gas supply and prevents secondary accidents; while an indicator alerts the user of the abnormal operation. A simple quick slide ring resets the system.

How to Operate 1.) Before opening cylinder valve, set the scale division at “0.” 2.) Turn the dial clockwise to increase flow rate gradually. 3.) For setting flow rate, match the corresponding scale division of dial with the scale set point. At “0” the gas does not flow. 4.) Return setting to “0” after use. 5.) To terminate operation, close the cylinder valve and discharge gas from inside regulator by turning the dial clockwise then back to “0”. If desired disconnect regulator from the cylinder.

The Sentinel Safety-Z uses a unique reverse disconnect feature that will not come a part with a straight pull. This feature prevents accidental release of the coupler even when pulled over the edges of steel plates. High quality reverse flow check valve prevents dangerous counter flow of gases when a backfire occurs.

Features of Sentinel Plus Flashback Arrestor In the case of a flashback, flames are diffused through anti-flash elements. The heat energy is absorbed and the flame is extinguished.
Backflow Prevention In order to prevent backfire, a preventive valve is installed for preventing gas counter-flow. This assures that the gases will not mix. Gas Supply Interrupt Prevention of secondary accidents. In the case of impact waves due to abnormal pressures from a backfire or backflow, valves located at a primary stage terminate the gas supply to prevent danger.

Features and Benefits � Twin Tip Holder
The Twin Tip Holder for all Koike 100 Series torches allows converting a single oxy fuel cutting torch into dual cutting torches. The Twin Tip Holder can be used to cut narrow width flat bar with a single torch, high accuracy is possible by reducing thermal distortion, and it is a common practice to employ multiple torches with dual tips to improve efficiency on smaller parts.
� Torch Bevel Attachment The torch bevel attachment can be added to current Koike tips and used to do multiple axis bevels by simply turning the tip in the desired direction of cut. An angular gauge is also stamped into the unit for ease of use and accuracy.
The line of Koike products includes the cost efficient Koike 300L & 500L torches and cutting tips. They are ideal for heavy duty, high quality cutting in industries such as steel service centers, shipyards, salvage, construction, and other general purposes uses. All machine torches and accessories are built to the highest standards, then stringently tested to ensure safety and long work life.

The Snap Valve Set is highly recommended by current Koike portable customers. The Snap Valve saves time and gas waste by allowing the operator to set the preheating flame just once. Lighting the torch and gas shutoff are just a snap of the valves, up for gases on and down for gases off. Three hose input torches such as the IK-12 NEXT sets have the option of using the Snap Valve to control the cutting oxygen. The Snap Valve even allows less experienced cutting operators to perform high quality cuts every time, once the preheat flames are set the first time.

The Stepless Drive System equipped on the IK-12 Beetle guarantees the constant and stable movement of the machine, providing sharp, clean cuts. The travel functions (forwards, backwards, stop) are activated only by one operation element. The clutch control ensures trouble-free positioning of the machine. Operations
Template manufacturing is a simple process and as shown in the diagrams below, allowance is easily made for the diameter of the tracing roller as well as for kerf, with both external and internal templates. Once constructed, the template is quickly attached to the holder with a suitable size tip. The direction changeover switch is then flipped to either right or left handed rotation. Power travels to the magnetic roller motor where speed can be adjusted from 4 to 39½ in/min. (100 to 1,000mm/min).

Precision circle cutting of various sizes Easy Operation, Versatile Cutting
Operating the IK-70 is very easy. Adjust the speed by simply turning the knob on the control box. The cutting direction, stop and change switch are all conveniently located in the same area. Select the optimum cutting speed range by shifting the 3-position clutch lever on the front of the gear box. Change from high to low speed smoothly while cutting. The IK-72T is ideal for industries which require out-of-position cutting such as ship-vessel, and tank-building and repair. There are three different types of rails available.
� The straight 1D rail made of robust aluminium, allowing straight cutting on flat plate in out-of-place positioning.
� The double-plane 2D rail has a flexible steel strip inside, which makes the rail unable to bend sideways. Ideal for applications which require a straight line over a curved surface such as tank or vessel.

Designed to perform a consistent, perfect weld. The Wel-Handy Mini Strong is a compact welding carriage that was designed to go where most welding carriages could not. With its 10 inch footprint and impressive pulling capacity of 77 lb, it is sure to be found in some of the roughest welding terrain. The initial feature of this unit, is its ability to take a welding gun and pinpoint the exact parameters needed to perform a consistent perfect weld. Each machine with the help of even an inexperienced welder can perform basic repetitive fillet welds and butt joints by allowing the operator to focus directly on the welding process and secondary operations. By controlling the exact consistency of the weld bead, you can ensure time savings and reduce consumption of gases and filler metal commonly found in over-welding of components.

Constant speed control verified by motor feedback The advanced controller on the WEL-HANDY MINI STRONG has adopted an advanced motor feedback control with the use of a servo drive. This maintains a constant carriage traveling speed under any load. Changes in load, either from the weight of welding equipment or a transition to a vertical position will not slow down the carriage or allow its speed to fluctuate. This guarantees the machine will provide consistent, high quality welds from the beginning to the end.
When excessive load is applied to the carriage, the machine will stop traveling and automatically turn off the welding arc which greatly reduces the chance of machine components breakage and excessive material damage commonly referred to as a run-away-arc. The overload detection feature was designed to protect the machine’s internal and external components and offer increased reliability by acting as a fail-safe for inexperienced operators. Carriage position adjustment without lifting (patent pending) Allows the operator the ability to position the carriage in place without the need to continuously move the machine once adhered to the plate. The machine will travel into position without firing an arc when either limit switch is being pressed. Precise start position adjustment can be achieved in a much more accurate and timely manner.
Automatic stop by limit switch The WEL-HANDY MINI STRONG is equipped with limit switches on either end of the machine. When a limit switch is pressed during welding the machine stops travelling and automatically turns off the welding signal. An experienced operator can use this benefit to run multiple systems at one time. This is most commonly found where many similar welds are being done within a confined environment allowing the operator to pass back and forth between machines.

Sub-arc Torch Kit Part#WHMSUBL15 (Lincoln) | Part#WHMSUBM15 (Miller) Several options are available for sub-arc use with wire sizes ranging from 1/16 to 3/32 inch. Applications that previously may have been unachievable using larger and heavier mechanized system can now be accomplished with this compact sub arc welding option. The Sub Arc Torch Option can be used together with the Corner Welding Kit.

Weaver Unit WU-3R Part#1148081500 Compact, low profile weave system that bolts directly to the machine. Does not require any additional cabling to operate or interface. Has adjustable weave length and frequency to accommodate most applications.

The Wel-Handy was developed to accomplish several different processes, as well as, being easy to operate. Ease of operation being the first and most influencing factor.
� Easy setup No guide rails required. The Wel-Handy drives into the fillet plate while placing consistent pressure into the root guaranteeing accurate welds every time.
� TACK welding is now standard The new multi function controller allows operators to switch from continuous welding to stitch welding with a simple turn of the function dial.
� Excellent durability Maintenance free, single piece aluminium die cast body protected by copper heat shields. Resist slag penetration due to their normal cooling traits.
� 110 lb permanent magnet Ensures strong pulling power during horizontal and vertical welding. The magnet can easily be detached from the plate by a lever.
� Low Center of gravity Provides stable performance even while climbing a vertical surface.
� Durable roller and arm Guide rollers are made of brass and are mounted to a single-piece of carbon steel for higher durability. Roller is protected against spatter due to its cooling traits.
� Heat resistant rubber drive wheels Specialized rubber composition provides good grip while reducing the need for replacement due to premature wear. Tested to 350°F.
� Sealed non-ferrous casting Die-cast body with stainless steel bottom plate ensures all drive mechanisms are completely sealed from heat and elements commonly found in the welding environment.

Limit Switch Located at either end of machine. Used to turn off the tractor and welding power supply simultaneously. Includes “jog to point technology;” simply press the limit in the direction of desired travel and the machine will move to your starting position.

Smooth action cross slide Allows for up to 4” of movement in either axis. A smooth action ball screw is used to reduce imperfec-tions when changing weld height and distance. Heavy ribbed knobs allow for extreme torque with gloved hands.

Quick release torch clamp Allows for a wide range of torches. Diameter size ranges from .5” to 1.5.” Has extra heavy ribs on tension knob to allow for extreme torque with gloved hands.

Guide Rollers Multi use position guide rollers allow for more flexibility than common types. Rollers can be flipped, dropped or spun into various positions in front of the machine or behind. Designed to work around obstacles in a fillet plate. Rollers can be used as a box and beam guide when placed into the negative position. Will move 1” below the base of the machine.

Rotary data dial Main component used to set parameters. Developed by certified in-house welders to be completely transparent for data input. Reduces time and research needed to setup proper machine control.
5Digital LED Display Allows accurate and precise parameter input. Allows each welder to use the same parameters regardless of experience. Visible in low light conditions.

Detachable carrying handle Used to lift machine. Doubles as a support to control the welding lead.

Mechanical magnet lift off Utilizes mechanical force to reduce pry-off torque needed to separate the magnet from the workpiece. Has 3 positions; On (completely saturated)/Off (no magnetic force applied)/Partial saturation (used to hold machine around a vessel).

The LD-R model positioners are designed and manufactured to provide stable positioning control on a wide range of rotation speeds. From slow to high speed only the load weight needs to be taken into consideration when selecting a model. A precision digital drive system quickly responds to changes needed in work piece or changes in circumferential welding speed. Keeps consistency with all operators when documenting digital read out parameters.

The LD-R Series Built in the Aronson Tradition
The LD-R control employs an infinite adjusting speed dial that works in conjunction with the digital speed indicator above, giving the operator complete control over rotational speed with a numbered read-out for consistent motion. Doubles as a directional switch. Includes a removable on/off type foot switch for hands free operation.
Highly insulated control system reduces the impact of noise generated during TIG welding while ensuring stable table rotation; thus improving both work efficiency and welding quality.
Wide assortment of optional accessories are available, to assist in the automation of welding work (torch stand, automatic welding controller, work chuck, weaving unit, torch holder, etc).
L - Torch Stand supports welding torches and assures accurate Welding. Counter weighted boom allows the operator to balance the weight of the work leads and gun ensuring a lightweight feel while adjusting in the vertical position. Locking horizontal and vertical adjustments allow quick locating of attachments. Rotating vertical column for fast loading/unloading of parts.
S - Torch Stand is more economical solution for holding position of a welding gun or tooling. Where the need of fine tuned adjustments is not necessarily required. Lever lock design allows for quick and accurate one time positioning.
WP Series - 3 jaw welding chuck with self centering scroll type operation allows for fast set-up of cylindrical shapes. The chuck can go from the open position to the locked position with the simple turn of the adjusting/lock lever.
