This country house is inspired by the landscape in this part of the world, colonial archi-tecture (common in Colombia), and sustainable techniques use in tropical hot /hummed places. By creating a half courtyard in the entrance area, the house embraces the well, celebrating the water as the most important element of the house. The materiality and the location with respect to the sun’s path are also very important for the design of the house. The roof facilitates the flow of air with openings at the highest points of the pitched roofs. And lastly, the heat transfer is minimized by using cement block and an insulation layer for the ceiling underneath the metal panels.

This dance studio presents possibilities of freedom and duality of indoor and outdoor spaces recreating in one building the sensation of isolation and belonging. Nature and more specifically insects as well as microorganisms was the focus and source of inspiration. The perfect balanced form of various insects served as a medium to inspire the overall shape, skin, and function of the Dance Studio. My subject of inspiration in particular was the ant and in its shape I saw its body functions separated in the different parts of its body. At the same time I saw the legs as instruments for movement. The separation of program into individual forms allows for privacy of function. Transitional spaces between the program, which differ in material and form, create unexpected sensations as dancers, employees, and visitors discover the unique nature of this new Dance Studio.

This is a non-denominational chapel in which procession starts with a land-scape that brings visitors inside the spaces by breaking and shifting the building’s planes creating a courtyard that oers both an inside and outside area. The courtyard becomes a space for inner celebration as well as social gatherings. However, more importantly it becomes a space that signies support and strength that comes from the community and oneself.Through the duality of open and close spaces nature enters the chapel expos-ing the interior simplicity and privacy of the building to the beauty and serenity of nature.

This is a proposal for the remediation and treatment of rain water in the city of Berkeley. Through extended technology research on the subject and a focus on educational awareness for to the visitors of the Berkeley aquatic park, I designed a water treatment plant that connects the city to the bay, it becomes part of the bay, part of the landscape of the park, and is a place where bicyclists, pedestrians, and even drivers are exposed to the remediation process of water.
Berkeley Aquatic Park Storm Water Remediation
Mitigation of rain water by redesig-neing planters on main streets of the city to rerout and reuse water before it gets to the bay.

FIRE PIT KEY IN POLISHED CHROME
This is a project in Mill Valley where I was involved from the design phase through the drawing of construction documents. I designed and created construction documents for the main path to the entrance of the house, South and West facade remodeling, and the deck, which includes the Metal Siding, BBQ and Fire Pit, and the furniture selection.
