WINDIGI - PROMPTING SOFTWARE FOR WINDOWS 2000 AND XP®
The Roll Screen is clear and simple to read assisting the presenter to minimize reading errors. The Text is smoothly scrolled with either a hand or foot remote control. It is possible to jump to different Page/Items via the keyboard enabling the running order to be changed easily whilst on air. A stop watch feature is also available for timing scripts during rehearsals. Example of Roll Screen is shown on right.

The Page/Items Window displays a list of the script's Pages/Items and a preview of the selected item. It enables items to be dropped by simply selecting and cutting in the normal Windows fashion. The dropped items can be put back into the running order by pasting them back in. The running order can also be changed in this manner using drag and drop. Example shown on left.

Run Time Viewer and Stop Watch
The Run Time Viewer displays a list of all the Page/Items, enabling the run time of each to be calculated, using either a pre-determined speaking speed or an automatic calculation of the speaking speed live during the show, allowing items to be dropped or inserted to obtain the desired show runtime. The total run time of the show and how long is left is also displayed, based on the current speaking speed of the presenter and position in script. Example shown on right.
Clock Window
The Clock Window provides several useful features. Current Time, Count-Down Timer (with three alarm modes), and a Count-Up Timer from the alarm time. These options provide the user with a great deal of flexibility for counting into shows and monitoring the show's duration. Its size and position may be adjusted, to suit individual requirements.
WinDigi is now enabled for interfacing to MOS newsroom systems as well as the Avid INews system, enabling the newsroom computer to control the stories and running order that WinDigi uses. (requires extra software plug in)

WinDigi prompting software has been specifically written and designed to interface with ENPS’s Media Server Communications Protocol (MOS). This tight integration with WinDigi via the MOS protocol enables ENPS to control all the features of the WinDigi prompter automatically so improving the efficiency of the prompting function in a busy newsroom environment. Via MOS WinDigi can request any rundown or multiple run-orders to be prompted, accept rundown and script changes automatically during rehearsal and live transmission. Using the MOS interface with WinDigi also allows for an even closer interface with ENPS for presenter preferences such as True type font choice, size and style, colour, bold, italics, underline and reverse background/foreground.
Using the MOS Active X implementation WinDigi can remotely access any run-order, or start at any story in the run-order. The prompter output can be controlled by a hand control or a Presenter foot control.
WinDigi is fully Windows 2000 & XP compatible and via the MOS gateway able to interface ENPS in most languages. Portaprompt is a member of the ENPS MOS Partner group and actively supports the ENPS MOS user group meetings.

The small window at the bottom right is the list of running orders available to the prompter.
The window in the middle right with the colour pallet is part of the presenter preferences, enabling font and colour options to be selected.
The top right window is the story page displayer.
The top left window is the presenters prompt screen which will be zoomed up to full screen size on the camera prompter.

It is possible from this Active X plug-in to select different prompters across the network, view the actual output from each prompter, see what they have loaded as stories/running orders and are displaying the correct story.
It allows the Editor to control which running order and story a prompter is using by simply double clicking on the name in the lists.
It is also possible to control the presenter preferences on the prompter from the Editors desk.

HAND AND FOOT CONTROLS FOR WINDIGI PROMPTING SOFTWAREUSB, WIRED and WIRELESS
The USB local hand control, shown on left, can be used by both right and left handed people. Speed of the prompter is continuously variable by means of a rotary potentiometer.
The unit incorporates a 'top of text' facility that allows instant return to top of text after rehearsals, together with forward/reverse direction switch.
The hand held controller comes with a standard length of 1m USB cable. It is supplied as standard with WinDigi and WinDigi Lite Plus packages
It can also be connected to a remote foot control, remote hand control or our News Box via a standard BNC cable.
This can allow several presenters to operate the prompter but if the foot controls are not being used, this local control controls the software. Ideal for back-up.
The wireless 3 Button Key fob control (left) disappears in the hand of the presenter making it invisible to the audience and ideal for self operation of the prompter. This is especially useful when used with the NanoPrompt System. The 3 buttons control, forward, reverse and return to top of story.
Used with our wireless USB dongle (right) the controlgives a range of up to 30 meters (100 feet) in line of sight.
The New for 2007 variable speed wireless remote control gives the presenter the freedom to roam the studio whilst controlling the speed of the prompter. It also has 2 buttons with programmable functions which include scroll direction, story selection and paragraph jumping. These functions vary depending on the type of WinDigi purchased.

NEW ‘Accelerator’ type foot controlThis unit comes complete with a 25 metres BNC interconnecting cable, and the length can be adjusted to suit customer's requirements at a slight increase in cost, the recommended maximum length of cable run is 250 metres.
The foot control is designed to be left under a desk with little maintenance.
The controls can be simply daisy chained using standard BNC ‘T’ pieces allowing several presenters to control the same prompter.
There is a direction switch on the top of the foot control to reverse the scroll if required.
The foot control can have an optional desk mounted keypad attached to enable the presenter to control such things as, select story, skip paragraphs, select font, adjust font size, eye-line position and reset the running order.These functions vary depending on the type of WinDigi purchased.
News Box Designed for but not limited to, News environments.
It provides a remote hand speed control and a keypad to enable the presenter to control such things as which story to use, jump paragraphs, select font, adjust font size, eye-line position and reset the running order, as well as the speed of the prompter. It can be used in conjunction with foot controls if preferred
These functions are not available on Windigi Lite or WinDigi Lite Plus.
