The desire too seek for new challenges & tasks to master has always driven me in my studies. I am eager to push my own boundaries. My passion for aesthetics & technology allowed me to autodidactic teach & improve my skills, tools & knowledge over the time of my studies. I am a fierce designer that cherishes variety & diversion in his line of work. I would describe myself as a friendly & social person that likes working in design-teams but also interdisciplinary with other professions. However I am ready to fulfil tasks independently & take responsibility. In my free time I am a passionate sportsman. After having played American Football for a long time, nowadays jogging is my preferred sport. If I wouldn’t be a Designer I would probably be a perfectionist chef in the kitchen.

I N S P I R A T I O N Motivated by Lennart Mentz (Technikum Wien, Sports Equipment Technology) master-thesis: “Development of a measuring system to examine head injuries in European amateur American football players.”, we decided to join our engineering & design skills and work together to create a sports-gadget designed for research purposes. I was inspired by nowadays NFL aesthetics, other lifestyle sports-accessories, sports-technologies robust, but still lightweight synthetics & their material properties.

We had a very tight schedule of 2 months to design & prototype our research-sensor to be ready for testing before the German Football League & the Berlin Adler started their season. With this cooperation partner we had the possibility to test & obtain measurement results over the time of a whole season. The design of the sensor is very much application- & practical orientated. The idea was to design a cheap, low tech sensor that fits in several helmet-types. Because of technical restrictions the prototype possesses a screw-cap to be able to switch batteries, turn On & Off & to read off the measurement results. The advancement considers wireless data communi-cation, a fitted PCB panel & a bigger battery.

C O N T E X TIn the context of the annual concrete-canoe regatta 2015 in Brandenburg & FH Potsdam as host, concepts where designed to represent our college in this tournament. As a promo contest held by the German concrete industry the competition is first of all planned for building engineers to test their planning & engineering-skills. Therefore we worked closely with our own engineers to design representative, individualised & competitive canoes. My concept takes the fact under consideration that the boats are being driven by “ordinary” students without any previous knowledge of canoeing. With this in mind, I designed a canoe that is first of all fast on a straight track, but still gives enough stability for lay-riders. Ergonomic seat cushion provide a optimized seated position for a better posture & blood flow in the legs.

C O N T E X TThe historic district of Spandau is one of the oldest pedestrian areas in Germany. Through historic, social & economic developments & changes of urban building this district has changed dramatically in the past last years. Retail wanes, tourism & social life are reducing. To counteract this development I designed a mobility offer that increases & connects the appeal of retail & creates an interface between different means of transportation. My concept contains a sharing-offer located in historic Spandau to transport your purchases to your car, public transport or straight home. The concept is based on an autonomous segway that follows his user and automatically finds his way back to his charging station.

Cagoo was first of all inspired by the segway principle, making it a versatile vehicle, made to move in confined spaces & larger crowds. Combined with the idea of a cargo-bike & a shopping trolley Cagoo was invented.

The purity & beauty of glassblowing is one of a kind. We visited several industrial & traditional studios to get an impression of the process of manufacture. We were amazed by the glassblower hard & manual work. The contrast of production and final object inspired us to design a classic & minimalistic combination of a glass & carafe that should inhered the effort & expertise off making glass manually. We were fortune to blow our glass with Glasmanufaktur Harzkristall.

I D E AA classic problem for all spectacle wearers are fogged glasses. Even worse in winter, skiers & snowboard-ers experience the same problem despite chemical advanced glasses & optimized ventilation in modern snow goggles. While having the same experience & thinking about this problem I came up with a radical idea to transfer the concept of a customary car air condition on snow goggles. While in a car, cold air is directly blown on to the glass to reduce the temperature & fogging, while conventional goggles only work indirect. Making use of the airflow produced while riding, AEROconcept takes advantage of exactly that principle.

Design details are the air ducts on the front of the goggle to gain as much air as possible. Flexible binders allow a personal fit with or without a helmet.

Coffeereader is smart little gadget for everyone that loves their coffee to go & getting some work done at the same time. Working on the road or in public trans-portation can be stressful enough. Consider having a hot beverage the same time even worse. Nowadays a laptop gives you the freedom to work where you want but that does not count for your refreshment. This little add-on gives you the possibility to boost your mac-book with a cupholder to go. All you need is a sd-card slot & you are ready to work with both hands without having to think about where to put your cup.
