I designed the world’s first fabric ladder.

We (two other RISD students, and myself) built and tested a full-scale model.

It successfully held human weight!

It uses complex curves, tension, and racing sail technology to create a super light-weight rigid climbing structure.

The ladder has been featured at a series of galleries and is in RISD’s private collection.
