Pamela Sandall brings twenty years experience in the Home

Fashions industry to the design firm she started 8 years

ago. Pamela Sandall Interior Design specializes in creating

comprehensive, well-coordinated design plans that include color, fabric texture and style. More importantly she integrates her cli-ents’ personal style with the requirements the space and function dictate. Pamela serves as the current president of The Interior Design So-ciety’s Portland chapter as well as the marketing director for a custom upholstery manufacturer, The Design Side by Madi-son. At the Design Side, she created the program, designed the showroom and many of the pieces with designers and their cli-ents in mind. Pamela has taught fun and informative Interior Design classes at Portland Community College for six years where she shares her love of design with her students. As a current member of the Oregon Remodelers Association, Pamela believes that with re-gards to your remodeling project, good design must happen be-fore a remodel begins. She was thrilled to participate in this year’s Street of Dreams, has been featured in several magazine articles and has a featured kitchen at Standard TV and Appliances in Beaverton.

I firmly believe that when you walk in the front door of your home, it should give you a great, big hug. It probably sounds corny, but if you don’t feel welcomed and nurtured when you’re sitting in your own home, where will you get it? Your home should feed your soul, relax your spirit and ener-gize you to get up every day to face the world. It’s my job to help clients realize the potential of their homes and possibly overcome the deficiencies it may have. I will never walk into your home and say that something must go if you love and it is important to you. I work with my clients to find the bal-ance in creating both a functional home and a beautiful home. I love to start a project from an inspiration point. This is of-ten a tangible item such as an heirloom, art piece or existing element. Often however, the inspiration is a feeling or a mood. Perhaps an un-expressed favorite color or a location that makes your heart sing. Whatever your inspiration, in-corporate it into your home and you’ll be happier for it.

They did it themselves!

As one of my clients told me recently: “...sometimes all we need is confidence

and a kick in the pants!”

I often do consultations only where a handy homeowner with an enterprising mind and can-do attitude (as well as perhaps a passion for HGTV!) can exe-

cute a carefully constructed design plan. I will work WITH the homeowner to come up with the plan, step back and let the homeowner execute—with the

occasional frantic phone call!

Projects

Often the most fun we get is the challenge of re-making something. Often this is be-

cause it is significant to a home-owner...sometimes it’s just out of necessity!

Renderings

Sometimes it can be hard to see what your finished project will look like. A rendering

will enable you to visualize your project.
