Problem Statement:
To create a group-oriented, interactive pastry shop for the downtown Boston area that fosters interpersonal relation-ships and an appreciation for the togetherness of food prep-arations. To enhance the patron’s experience to create lasting memories and continued traditions.
Conceptual Statement:
Much like a variety of talents and special skills are needed to create a well rounded team, a mixture of ingredients are needed to produce the perfect cake; therefore, this interac-tive pastry shop will focus on how the varying programatic elements come together to create a seamless, well-function-ing, exciting venue for pastry making, watching, buying, eat-ing, wrapping, decorating and more.
Parti Statement:
A variety of talents and special skills are needed to create a well rounded team. Various instruments are needed to cre-ate good music. Just like you need a mixture of ingredients to make the perfect cake, cookies, and cupcakes. The parti of the pastry shop with cooking classes and retail space will have to do with different parts coming together as a whole and having one center, just like a theater in the round.
