ARCHITECTUREAGUSTÍN ARCE RECATALÁ

The objective of this project is to create a building which can host a temporary exhibition, and also serves to connect the busiest area of people with the Museum of Valencia. The project is predetermined by fixed dimensions of 35 x 17.5 x 7m. With the obvious possibility to put in a horizontal position, I choosed to place it vertically, that makes the volume more transparent and permeable.

The main idea of the project is a vertical path through ramps, accessed by an ele-vator to the top floor, visitors will descend with ramps while they observed the han-ging exhibitions, which have their own background, the real world, thanks to the glass skin of the volume.

HISTORYMUSEUM

Through this expansion of the Museum of History of Valencia, we intend to solve the current problems of the museum, while we rebuild a degraded zone into a tourist attraction.WeWe study and create the program that requires a modern museum, we organize the program by size as the required square meters, it creates some at-tractive volumes that solve the logistical problems of the project and its surroundings.

On an old place to hold water, converted into a museum. Now we get up mdern metal and concrete structures which not hide the city museum. The tours have been stu-died from the point of view of the work, the worker, and visitors, in the point of view of the last is intuitive, with a lot of possibilities. Quick and direct for the workwork to the workshops, and simple and separated for workers from visitors.

The main facades are fully glazed allowing enter inside enough light to provide the building. This light can be regulated is a function of need.

The resulting project are two buildings with large overhangs, which can produce all the sensations that requires each work,of each artist at each time.

A box, a unique space flooded by light, which makes desapear all solids. And lets us create an open atmosphere, enlightened, modern and pleasant.

Road ApproachEvery work requires an idea and every idea re-quires a careful analysis. In this project move from the urban scale to the design of a tower and a residential block. The goal here is convert a former militar base in a part of a already built urban tissue. And for that we analyse seriously all topics which could affect our project. Those are urban ground, roads, uses, facilities, green, heights, communi-cations, surroundings, existing shape...cations, surroundings, existing shape...
