GREEN GROCERSRENOVATION4,500 SQ. FT.PROJECT DESCRIPTION:::: Due to a recent trend in the number of people movingto downtown San Antonio, the need for an urban grocery store has been in high demand. This store is to carry all organic products and to follow the guidelines set by LEED CI. From materials to lighting,all aspects of sustainability are to be represented.

CONCEPT:::: This high-end urban grocery store carries a broad selection of produce as well as ready-made gourmet foods. Sustainability is a main goal of this project and can be seen all throughout the design. Color and light were chosen to emphasize the organic aspect of the market creating a fun fresh feel. Organic, presentation and local all describe the principles of Green Grocers. 11

THE SUMMITRENOVATION3,500 SQ. FT.PROJECT DESCRIPTION:: :: Renovate the reception and elevator lobby of a fi ve star hotel. The client has requested that the area refl ect their fi ve star status and include the following: check in area with support space, lounge area, bell man’s desk, concierge, general manager’s offi ce, elevator lobby and sundries.

CONCEPT:: :: The rustic-modern design combines elements of nature with sleek lines and rich materials creating a comfortable and elegant space. The textures, colors and patterns are meant to highlight the retreat-like atmosphere. The design balances opportunities for business and relaxation while maintaining function and comfort.

DAY SPARENOVATION5,600 SQ. FT.PROJECT DESCRIPTION:: :: Present a renovation solution to improve the existingspa in a fi ve star hotel. The design should refl ect thefi ve star status of the hotel. The spa will include thefollowing areas: lounge and reception, retail, imagecenter, administration, male locker and facility area,women’s locker and facility area, co-ed lounge, treatment and back of house.

CONCEPT:: :: The main focus for the design of this spa is that ofexperience and feeling. This has been implemt-ented through the materials used and circulationas a process with viewpoints. The mountain views, sense of hot to cold, and the overall connection with the function all guide this design. Because of the cold nature of the area, features such as fi replaces and hot pools play as a prominent feature through-out.

The restaurant should refl ect the hotels fi ve star statues as well as the location. It will include the following: reception,bar, dining area, prep area, offi ce, restrooms, employee support areas and kitchen.

Sweet Tooth specializes in chocolate adver-tising and have requested that their new offi ces re-fl ect that focus in a modern way.

CONCEPT:: :: Sweet Tooth Advertising Agency stands out as a fi rm dedicated to success and innovation. With a focus in chocolate, Sweet Tooth stands at the top of the list for chocolate advertising. It is only natural that the renovation of their new offi ces refl ect that passion and standard. The new offi ce will enhance the work environment for the employees while providing a creative outlet for such visual people. Texture and fl uidity guide the design and create a rich yet modern feel. With all of these factors combined, Sweet Tooth will remain leaders in advertising for years to come.
