Are we sleeping? That’s my question. Many nightmares are happening around the world and we are aware of them but unconscious. So wake up, that is my title. Wars and conflicts are hap-pening, people die every day either from a disease or were killed in a battle. so why is it because we are different? no it is because we don’t understand.. we don’t understand that bad food cause deadly diseases, we don’t understand that islam don’t generate terror, we don’t understand that wars are caused by us humans. that is why I say wake up and make change…

Before I imagined myself as a doctor, as a teach-er in the furtue. All of a sudden, I became inter-ested in drawing and painting.

Yes, now I can say “ IAM SOMEONE “ and Iam proud of what I do, because I found myself.

Artist Statement

Then I experimented Painting tigers again, but I don’t know why I leave half of the face unpaint-ed, I just liked it that way.

That and watching anime ( Japanese Cartoon), inspired me to decide my first steps in drawing anime.

I became fond of arts in, but then I was inter-ested in Graphic Design, and I was very inspired

by many famous artists such as Chris Jordan.

It is Something, I didn’t try before, I was also inspired by some of the Graphic Artists works like Yodabaz, and Victor Toyens.

So I went from there doing illustrations, taking photos which is initial for my work, Designing stuff like posters and packages.

She studied at local schools and one of them was private school. During the years she became interested in art, something that was way far from what she had expected from herself. Then She joined Zayed University were she decided to build herself and improve to reach her dream, which is to be a professional Emarati Artist. What inspired her to love the art were actually the great Disney movies, Japanese anime, and video games. They are all about art and design and anima-tion at the same time. Then she decided on her path as a Graphic Designer. Now she is familiar with drawings, paintings, print making, web site design, poster design, book design, cover de-sign, photography and package design. She is continuing her learning journey at Za-yed University and aiming to be a professional designer.

Al Khor can be considered as a significant landmark regarding

its history and stories of people, places, culture, and urban devel-opment for Dubai and the UAE.

The project is aboutBranding

and promoting Al Khor because of its significant role in Dubai.

It is the core and the starting

point where Dubai evolved from. It is the raising mother of Dubai. The poster created on the right represent the motherly part of Al Khor which are calm, wise, and old, but still the strong.

The Main Keywods: contain, rais, and embrace. This is just an idea of how I magined Al Khore as a raising figure of Dubai based on the history it has,

but that couldn’t cover the main idea I wanted to show.

Key words: Starting point, develop-ment, Alkhor as a guiding time of

which Dubai evolved from. This Idea was perfect as a timeline for Dubai.

It didn’t serve the purpose of Al Khor as a Mother Figure of Dubai, which

was the main idea that I was trying to achieve

This photograph right here was taken by me when I visited Al Khor for re-

searching and gathering information.

First when I reviewed all the photos for finding other ideas for the poster. I saw this photograph of Al Khor wa-

ter and thought, this is it.

This is the perfect image to repre-sent Al Khor as a mother figure.

Because the water give a warm and calm feelings. I thought that, this is the core of Dubai were everything

started because in the very old past, there was nothing but this water.

Those two spreads features articles on Al Khor, and related topics. The main idea for this

spread design is the interesting element. Al Khor is interesting,

vibrant catches the eye, and stay within memory. The goal is to create a spread that is as interesting as Al Khor in show-

ing its aspects and features, people, stories, and events. That

is achieved through the use of interesting images of Al Khor

with interesting layout of text, and pull quotes.

I want it to feel lively, at moment, feeling the steam. My design should

be like feeling you have visited Al Khor already when you just had

viewed the spreads.

LAYOUT

Creating a layout tha is as interest-ing as Al Khor, no specific rule. Using

aspects of Al Khore.

TYPOGRAPHY

Strong and simple type is the best sulotion for this idea.

They are able to change their color, as they have a strong Yin energy. Gemstones of Water have sedative effect.

Gemstones of Water are useful in meditation since they help to achieve relaxation. These gemstones help to see
