Architecture Office in New YorkAcademy of Fine Arts in Gdansk 2012

Since New York is a city of new possibilities, I decided to explore the idea of

rooftop architecture and locate my project on one of the Meatpacking District

rooftops. One located right next to The High Line Park, had an amazing view on

Hudson river and a lot of natural light and seemed perfect for my new floating

structure. Two story work space with library, kitchen, conference room and bath-

rooms, was designed for 20 employees.

As for the residential part of the new structure, on the first level I’ve located kitch-

en, dining room, living room (which can transform into guest bedroom), guest

bathroom and storage. Master bedroom and bathroom, walk in closets, laundry

and kid’s area are on the top floor.

House in Sopot, PolandHall 68

2010

After 17 years spent in Republic of

South Africa, our clients came back to

Sopot, Poland, where they decided to

buy a house. Our main goal was to cre-

ate a contemporary yet cosy space

with african feeling. We used traditional,

repetitive pattern, visible on the carpet

and several wood panels. Also, ebony

millwork gave this space an exotic look

and brought back their african memo-

ries.

This apartment was designed for a

single professional and his little daugh-

ter who occasionally spends weekends

with him. My goal was to creat neutral,

contemporary, everlasting space with a

hint of fun. While white color on

cabinets doors makes this area clean,

yellow accent brings some life and solid

wood floor warms up minimal and

masculine look. I’ve enriched the exist-

ing plan with a new walk in closet lo-

cated between Master Bedroom and

Master Bathroom.
