Biography
In January 1989, Maitha Atiq Almagoodi arrived in the world. She is an Emirati artist specializing in graphic design. She has takes courses in many different kinds of art; graphic design, packaging, digital illustration, drawing, printmaking and painting.
Back in school she participated in traffic day contest that was sponsored by Dubai Police and received a certificate for the sculpture she created about traffic.
She also has experience in National Day Celebrations at Zayed University, she managed a booth selling accessories. One of her prints is exhibited in Al Meydan in Dubai. Now Maitha is trying to be one of the most successful Emirati artists and looking forward to learning more and achieving higher degrees.

The world to me is a ball of clay that is ready to be shaped by my imagination. Designing means the world to me, it is my way of showing my feelings, talking, about possibilities changing peoples thinking and reaching my dreams. I am a introvert who has stronger power than expressing feelings out.
I believe that there are many people who have been forced to be silent and people who are suffering. The thing that inspires me the most is nature,organic patterns, islamic art and typography. Tarek Atrissi is multi-disciplinary designer who inspires me very much, he likes to play with words. I am fascinated by typography, which has limitless possibilities to explore ideas and techniques. I am very interested in typography and he is a typographic illustrator so this is why he is one of my inspirations.
I explore my passion through designing, making things that has meaningful message that will bring awarness to the public. I am aiming to be a designer that makes people feels better and change their way of thinking when they see my work.
I want to be a person that helps people who can not express their feelings, and changes their vision about the world toward better life. As I mentioned before, art is my small world, I have strong feelings that a power of design is to give a voice to an idea with message, colorand typography.

Packaging Design 2012Save The Date Date Honey Package
For this project the goal was to promote package for the Fifth International Date Palm Festival. My goal is to create a unique package to grab the attention in the event for both locals and International audience.
The brand story of the honey-date packaging was High quality Healthy especially for people who have diabetes, it is made of date that has 0% of “Sucrose” that is very dangerous for people who have diabetes.
To design this package I went through many steps, I looked for an interesting, unique and high quality glass bottle to use for the date honey. Then I looked for an interesting package, I faced some problem to find the die-line of this package. I started to sketch the design of the package and the logo, my first logo design was a bit funny and doesn’t match the idea of high quality, so i changed it to a very simple type to be more of high quality like the international brand logos.

Project Description In this project we were group of 4 each one take a set of the card and my set was diamond. Our theme is civilizations, I chose the Egypt civilization.
The designMy theme is through the history and I chose the Egyptian civilization. So my ideas is to make the cards look like it is an Emboss in one of the caves or temples. I used the simples from the Egyptian civilization in the cards, each card has different simple. I designed my box as a map with red line that goes through the history.

people had families in the other side of the creek and it takes alone time to reach the other side because they ,use camels
people use to sale thing and use the money to buy food for the home, but when their money is not enogh they buy thing and pay the moeny next time
Al Shindagha Tunnel was opened in 1975, it takes place under the creek toconnect the Deira and Bur Dubai
The fish do not test wellit is bad, but people fish from the creek because they need money to live
people used to make something called (yus), it is like sument , it is made of fired rock and the hit it with stick untile it become like powder and use it for making houses.

My consept is to creat a logo that has two parts that compelet each other so, I chosen to do the shape as a water drop to present the creek and in the middle the shpe of the creek. The small part of the shap present the creek and the big part present dubai, so both complete the shap of Dubai. If you have not visit the creek it is like you have not visit Dubai
