CONCERT HALL FOR PRAGUE

The site for the new Prague Philharmonie is in Klárov. A place that is unique in the

context of the Prague Castle and complements other important institutions situated

along the River Vltava. The main mass of large and small concert hall are placed to

the river and fi nish the views from streets of Lesser Town, Prague Castle, the Letná

and the opposite bank. The building is shaped by panorama, views and movement

of people. The public foyer with café and cloakroom has two entrances, from the

Mánes Bridge and the Castle. The halls are wrapped in a translucent shell of foyers,

balconies and loggias, and rise in gold into the roof landscape. Foyers fi ll the space

between the concert halls, offering views and creating differents atmospheres

of open, high and intimate spaces. The second part of the house with rehearsal

and dressing rooms for the musicians is hidden underground and illuminated

by the skylights in the pavement. In the evening the illuminated philharmonie

communicates with the city and through the transparent facade reveals a life that

takes place in it.

PHILHARMONIE DE PRAGUE

La nouvelle salle de concert est située à Klárov. Un endroit qui est unique

au contexte de Château de Prague et complète des autres institutions

importantes au long de la rivière Vltava. Les masses principales des petite

et grande salle sont placés au bord de la rivière, où finissent les vues des

rues de Malá Strana, Château de Prague, Letná et la rive opposée. Le

bâtiment est formé par le panorama, les vues et le mouvement des gens.

Dans le foyer public avec le café et les vestiaires il y a deux entrées, de

Pont Mánes et Château de Prague. Les salles sont enveloppées dans

une façade translucide de foyers, balcons et loggias, et montent dans

le paysage de toiture. Foyers sont dans l´espace libre entre les salles,

offrant des vues et créant des atmosphères différentes des espaces

ouverts, grands et intimes. La deuxième partie de la philharmonie avec

des chambres pour les musiciens est cachée au sous-sol et illuminée

par les lanterneaux dans le trottoir. La philharmonie éclairée dans la nuit

communique avec la ville et la transparence révèle ce qui se déroule

dedans.

QUARRYThe Zbraslav quarry has made a strong footprint in the landscape and became a part of the city. In 50 years the extraction will be fi nished and the quarry will be closed. What now? Concrete walls in regular distance of 12 m reshape the original hill and can be fi lled with different functions in order to breathe this place a new life. SHOPPING PASSAGEIn the center of the new city in a former quarry in Zbraslav I design new shopping mall. One continuous spiral ramp fi lls the deep and thin space between two concrete walls. A very slight slope of the ramp enables to pass easily from the bottom to the upper edge of the quarry. Shops are placed all around the ramp surface while storage, service and manufacture are in the hidden fl oor as the ramp is doubled.

LA CARRIÈRELa carrière de Zbraslav a fait une marque significative dans le paysage et devenu une partie de la ville. Dans 50 ans, l´exploitation de carrières sera finit. Que faire? La forme originale de la colline est recréée par les murs en béton en distance régulière de 12 m. Ces nouveaux éspaces on peut remplir avec les fonctions différentes pour donner un nouveau sens du lieu. PASSAGE COMMERCIALAu centre de la nouvelle ville dans une ancienne carrière de Zbraslav je conçois le centre commercial. Une seule rampe en spirale continue remplit l‘espace profond et mince entre deux murs. Une pente de la rampe très légère permet de passer facilement à partir du fond vers le bord supérieur de la carrière. Les magasins sont placés tout autour de la surface de la rampe tandis que le stockage, service et fabrication sont à l‘étage caché parce que la rampe est doublé.

BUILDING COMPLEX IN MEUDONThe aim of this urban project is a rehabilitation of a former industrial area in Meudon, south-west suburb of Paris. The site is located on the left bank of the river Seine. The area has a potencial for the future development of the brownfi elds, while the surrounding is a quiet and mostly residential quarter with a nice view of Paris.

The program of swimming pool, housing and offi ces was given. It is a bit experimental as a mix of these functions in one complex is not usual. The building fi lls up the whole site as the former factory and is divided into four longitudinal parts. The form with waves is inspired by the Seine and creates the fi fth facade of the building. The waves are perpendicular to the river and all the entries are at the opposite direction. EDIFICE COMPLEXE À MEUDON L‘objectif de ce projet urbain est une réhabilitation d‘une ancienne zone industrielle à Meudon, une banlieue sud-ouest de Paris. Le site est situé sur la rive gauche de la Seine. La région possède une potentialité pour le développement futur des friches industrielles, et le quartier autour est calme et résidentiel avec une belle vue sur Paris.

Le programme de la piscine, du logement et des bureaux était donné. Il est un peu expérimental parce que un mélange de ces fonctions dans un seul complexe n‘est pas habituel. Le bâtiment remplit tout le site comme l‘usine ancienne et est divisée en quatre parties longitudinales. La forme de vagues est inspiré par la Seine et crée la cinquième façade du bâtiment. Les vagues sont perpendiculaires à la rivière et toutes les entrées sont à la direction opposée.

CHATOU X 2It is a set of ideas about urbanism of a small suburban village of Paris. The task was always the same - to double the density. First of a small residential area with detached houses, then the same with an area of prefab apartment buildings and in the end the whole area. The aim is to react on the process of urbanization and by inventing new solutions to stop the expansion of the city into the landscape. The fi rst area is solved by two apartment towers in the centers of the houses. Besides apartments there is a place for local services on the ground fl oor for residents both from the houses and apartments. The public space is in more height levels as the site is on the slope.The second area of 7~9-storey solitary apartment buildings with all the space left occupied by cars brings the important question of doubled parking. The idea is to join the existing buildings into the city blocks with parter and on the top of the site above the crossing create a center with shops, restaurants, offi ces and a parking house. The fi nal masterplan is for these two sites and the opposite site up to the river Seine. It develops the second concept and defi nes the city street on the main axis, a sport center and a public park by the river and different types of housing - terraced houses, apartment buildings...

CHATOU X 2C´est un ensemble d‘idées sur l‘urbanisme d‘un petit village de la banlieue de Paris. La tâche était toujours le même - doubler la densité. Tout d‘abord un petit espace résidentiel avec des maisons individuelles, puis la même chose avec un espace d‘immeubles préfabriqués et en fin tout le quartier. L‘objectif est de réagir sur le processus d‘urbanisation et par les nouvelles solutions arrêter l‘expansion de la ville dans le paysage. Le premier site est résolu par deux tours d‘appartements aux centres des maisons. Outre les appartements il y a des services locaux au rez de chaussée pour les résidents des appartements aussi que des maisons. L‘espace public est dividé aux plusiers niveaux de hauteur parce que le site est sur la pente.Le deuxième site avec des immeubles solitaires de 7 ~ 9 étages où tout l‘espace libre est occupé par les voitures amène la question importante de nombre du stationnement doublé. L‘idée est de rejoindre les bâtiments existants dans les blocs avec parterre et créer un centre avec des magasins, restaurants, bureaux et parking.Le plan final est pour ces deux sites et un d´autre site jusqe´à la Seine. Le seconde concept est développé et il définit la rue avec parterre vivant sur l‘axe principal, le centre sportif et un parc public au bord de la Seine et plusieurs types de logements - maisons mitoyennes, immeubles d‘habitation...

PEC POD SNEZKOUIt is the biggest and most important ski center in the eastern part of The Giant Mountains. It is situated in the valley of the river Upa beneath the highest mountain of the Czech Republic - Snezka. Whilst the city has about 600 inhabitants, every year more than 8000 tourists come for vacation. HOTELThe hotel stands at the end of the village but strategically at one of the liveliest places and watches the ski slope Javor. The form is a simple geometry, growing up from the slope. Combination of black pedestal and white box of the hotel with the facade of the frosted glass reminds the piece of ice. It feels cold from outside but cosy with a fi replace in the interior. The contact with nature is maximum possible, from hotel rooms with balconies, glazed corridors, at the top placed restaurant and roof wellness.

PEC POD SNEZKOUC´est le plus grand et le plus important centre de ski dans la partie orientale des Monts des Géants. C´est situé dans la vallée de la rivière Upa et dessous de la plus haute montagne de la République tchèque - Snezka. Bien que la ville compte environ 600 habitants, chaque année, plus de 8000 touristes arrivent pour les vacances.HÔTELL‘hôtel se trouve dans un endroit stratégique et très vivant du village et elle regarde la piste Javor. La forme est une forme géométrique simple, grandissant de la pente. Combinaison de piédestal noir et la boîte blanche de l‘hôtel avec la façade de verre dépoli rappelle un morceau de glace. On le sent froid de l‘extérieur mais confortable avec une cheminée à l‘intérieur. Le contact avec la nature est le plus possible, de chambres d‘hôtel avec balcons, des couloirs vitrés, au restaurant et wellness placés en haut.

TESNOVThe former train station Prague-Tesnov, demolished in 1985, is still an empty place close to the city centre. The site is located next to the metro and tram station Florenc, bus terminal and it is cut by the highway. The project gives it a new meaning and importance and as well creates an entry into the city. CAR DEPARTMENT STOREThe idea of selling cars from more brands and in different classes at one place is quite unique and new. However it brings a lot of advantages both for the customers and for the sellers. As the site is next to the busiest highway in Prague, there is not a better place with such a huge frequency of potential clients passing by every minute. The longitudinal organic form with the black facade and silver signs of car brands in the dynamic stripes lies on the highway like a limousine.

TESNOVLe site de la gare de Prague-Tesnov, démolie en 1985, est encore une place vide près du centre ville. Le site est situé à côté de métro, tramway et gare routière de Florenc, et c´est coupé par l´autoroute. Le projet donne un nouveau sens et l´importance au ce lieu et ainsi crée l´entrée dans la ville.MAGASIN DES VOITURESL‘idée de vendre les voitures des marques et classes différentes à un seul endroit est unique et nouvelle. En tout cas, il apporte beaucoup d´avantages aussi pour les clients que pour les vendeurs. Comme le site est juste à côté de l‘autoroute la plus fréquentée à Prague, il n‘y a pas de meilleur endroit avec le nombre de clients potentiels passent chaque minute. La forme longitudinale organique, avec la façade noir et panneaux argentés des marques en bandes dynamiques, est située sur la route comme une limousine.

TERRACED HOUSESThe site is situated on the southern slope and offers spectacular views of the city. For this place I fi nd terraced houses as the ideal type of residential buildings. Terraced houses can be found together with villas and semi-detached houses in the surrounding area and they respect the human scale. These are three-storey houses, their height only slightly rises above the level of the upper street. Due to the steep slope the garden would not be very nice, so it is replaced by a rooftop terrace. The entrance to the house is from the bottom street, as well as the driveway to the garage. In the center of each house there is a staircase dividing the space into the day - social and night - quiet zone.

MAISONS MITOYENNESLe site est situé sur la pente sud et offre des vues spectaculaires sur la ville. Pour cet endroit je trouve des maisons mitoyennes comme le type idéal de bâtiments résidentiel. Avec des villas et des maisons jumelées on peut les trouver dans les environs et elles respectent bien l‘échelle humaine. Ce sont les bâtiments de trois étages, leur hauteur ne dépasse que légèrement le niveau de la rue supérieure. A cause de la forte pente, des jardins ne seraient pas très agréable, ils sont donc remplacé par un toit-terrasse. L‘entrée à la maison est de la rue bas, aussi que la voie d‘accès au garage. Au centre de chaque maison il y a un escalier en divisant l‘espace de la maison en deux parts: sociale - de la journée et tranquille - de la nuit.

TEMPORARY ARCHITECTURE ON THE ST WENCESLAS SQUARETwo spaces shaped by narrow cylinders for projection, serving people to relax. Objects form a frame and looking through it we see the statue of St. Wenceslas and the building of the National Museum. We can see and even pass through so the space of the square is not interrupted. In each object there are two benches placed opposite each other and above them there is a projection.

ARCHITECTURE TEMPORAIRE SUR LA PLACE ST VENCESLASDeux espaces en forme de cylindres verticals pour la projection pour les gens pour relaxer. Les objets sont comme un cadre et en regardant à travers on voit la statue de Saint Venceslas et le bâtiment du Musée National. On peut voir et même passer à travers ça veut dire l‘espace de la place n´est pas interrompu. Dedans chaque objet il y a deux banquettes placées face à face et au-dessus il y a la projection.
