Introductie

Ik ben Joran Marijsse en afgestudeerd als burgelijk ingenieur-architect aan de KU Leuven.

Interesses

Ik ben geïnteresseerd in innovatieve architectuur die verrassende ervaringen mogelijk maakt voor iedereen. Ik geloof sterk in de dialoog tussen mensen en hun fysieke omgeving en ik besef dat je - als toekomstige architect en ‘regisseur van ruimte’ een zekere verantwoordelijk-heid draagt om de levenskwaliteiten van mensen te verbeteren.

Attitude

Bij iedere opdracht die ik aanga, neem ik mij voor die tot een goed einde te brengen. Ik ben bereid hard te werken om de vooropgestelde doelstellingen te halen. Daarbij hecht ik veel belang aan de interpretatie van de opdracht en de kwaliteit van het resultaat.

Hoewel ik zelfstandig kan werken, hou ik er ook van om als groep opdrachten te verwezenlijken. Ik neem mijn eigen verantwoordelijkheden op, maar graag ook die van een volledige groep.

In het dagelijkse leven ben ik steeds op zoek naar verwezenlijking die mijn inzichtin architectuur kunnen verbreden. Hierbij probeer ik naast architectuur ook kunst-takken als muziek, fotografie,... en poezie te verkennen.

Ik ben ook bereid om nieuwe kennis snel te verwerken en vaardigheden, bijvoorbeeld met software aan te leren.

Vaardigheden

Ontwerpmethodiek: de denkwijze, creativiteit en het gevolgde proces van de ‘architect(en)’ ondersteunen en communiceren via de nodige media als schetsen, maquettes en computertekeningen.

Computerondersteund ontwerp: Building information modeling (BIM) en parametrisch ontwer-pen beoogt een grote graad van aanpassing, een (kosten-) efficient en duurzaam ontwerp in de brede zin van het woord.

Fenomenologie: de poezie van de ruimte met betrekking tot de materialiteit, articulatie en de verschillende integrale ervaringen, emoties die meespelen en kunnen het ontwerp bepalen, integreren in het concept / programma.

Filosofie

Verhalen van, en contact met ervaringsdeskundigen, nieuwe materialen en technieken kunnen volgens mij de ruimtelijke poezie binnen het creativiteitsproces inspireren. Naast keuzevakken-binnen bijvoorbeeld de sensoriële antropologie en de ontwerpmethodiek, probeer ik mijn blik te verruimen door als vrijwilliger te participeren in een onbekende leefwereld. Bijvoorbeeld als fluistertolk op het (dis)Ability Filmfestival of als spatial mapper bij Hidden City. Mijn verschillende perspectieven op architectuur en zorg zie ik als een troef om diverse ervar-ingen en emoties te sublimeren tot een aangepast ontwerp.

Doel

Ik ben op zoek naar een stageplaats die mij een zekere uitdaging kan bieden op het vlak van ontwerpen en het samenwerken in een architectuurbureau. Ik heb een uitgebreide kennis van CAD en BIM en sta open voor een maatschappelijke benadering.

Mon nom est Joran Marijsse et je suis un ingénieur civil et architecte diplômé de l’Université Catholique de Louvain (KU Leuven).

Intérêts

Je suis intéressé par la création d’une architecture innovante qui permet des expériences surpre-nantes pour tout le monde. Je crois fort en un dialogue entre les personnes et leur environne-ment physique et je me rends compte que vous, en tant que futur architecte et « directeur de l’espace », avez une certaine responsabilité d’améliorer la qualité de vie des gens.

Attitude

Je suis impliqué dans chaque projet, j’ai l’intention de livrer un produit final réussi. Je suis prêt à travailler dur pour atteindre les objectifs au mieux. Par conséquent, j’attache une grande impor-tance au respect des consignes et à la qualité du résultat.

Bien que je puisse travailler de manière autonome, j’aime aussi réaliser des tâches en groupe. J’aime prendre mes responsabilités, mais également celles de tout un groupe.

Dans la vie quotidienne, je suis toujours à la recherche de créations qui peuvent élargir ma compréhension de l’architecture. Outre l’architecture, j’essaie d’explorer des branches de l’art comme la musique, la photographie et la poésie.

Je suis également prêt à intégrer de nouvelles connaissances et à acquérir des compétences rapidement, avec des logiciels par exemple.

Compétences

Méthodologie de conception: soutenir et communiquer la pensée, la créativité et le processus suivi par ‘l’(ou les) architecte(s)’ à travers les médias appropriés comme les croquis, les ma-quettes et les dessins informatiques.

Conception assistée par ordinateur: building information modeling (BIM) et la conception para-métrique visent un degré élevé d’adaptation, un coût de conception efficace et durable au sens large du terme.

Phénoménologie: intégrer dans la conception/le programme la poésie de l’espace par rapport à la matérialité, l’articulation et diverses expériences intégrées, et les émotions qui entrent en jeu pour déterminer la conception.

Philosophie

Des contacts avec des experts et leurs histoires, les nouveaux matériaux et les techniques peu-vent inspirer, à mon avis, la poésie spatiale dans le processus créatif.Avec des cours additionnels, par exemple au sein de l’anthropologie sensorielle et la mé-thodologie de conception, j’essaie d’élargir ma vision en participant au monde inconnu. Par exemple, en tant qu’audio-descripteur au festival du film des handicapés ou en tant que car-tographe à Hidden City.Mes points de vue différents sur l’architecture et les soins médicaux sont considérés comme un atout pour sublimer différentes expériences et émotions dans un design personnalisé.

Objectif

Je cherche un stage qui peut me proposer un certain défi en terme de design et de travail en groupe dans un bureau d’architecture. J’ai une connaissance approfondie de la CAO et de BIM et je suis prêt pour une approche sociale.

Interests

I am interested in the creation of innovative architecture that enables surprising experiences for everyone. I strongly believe in a dialogue between people and their physical environment and I realize that you - as a future architect and ‘director of space’ - bear some responsibility to improve the living qualities of people.

Attitude

With every project I am involved, I intend to deliver a successful end product. I am willing to work hard to make the objectives right. Therefore, I attach great importance to the interpreta-tion of the brief and the quality of the result.

Although I can work independently, I also love to realize assignments in group. I like to take my own responsibilities, but also of an entire group.

In daily life, I’m always looking for creations that can broaden my understanding of architecture. Besides architecture, I try to explore art branches like music, photography and poetry.I am also willing to incorporate new knowledge and to learn skills quickly, for example with software.

Skills

I was selected for the student lecture of Existenz by the design staff of the 1st Master Architecture Design Studio. The lecture was given in the Auditorium in STUK, Leuven on March the 15th 2012 together with Pauline Hermant.

During my last year, I’ve got the opportunity of making part of the design-staff as a student-assistant for the students of 1st Master Architecture Design Studio in ASRO KU Leuven 2012-2013 besides the tutors Elina Karanastasi and Mauro Poponcini.

I was selected out of 75 subscriptions with 23 other teams of different schools in Flanders and took part in a design contest on April the 13th 2013 about Universal Design (http://www.deadline24.be).
