Portfolio Process:
1. Students were able to access a clean copy of the OneNote Portfolio Notebook from the county
website for resources in developing an e-portfolio. The first page is a welcome page explaining the
vision of the portfolio process.
2. Under the TAB titled “Content Library” students had a separate page for each of the required
components within the portfolio; including explanations and resources for completion. (Letter of
Introduction, Resume, Letters of Reference, Community Service & Service Learning, Certifications &
Awards, Student Evaluations, an ‘Other’ section, and the scoring rubric.)
3. Students were given additional sections for work on their capstone projects and a place for
teachers to provide feedback and communicate with students if the notebook was shared to
monitor progress.
Process of Capstones
1. Students used the Capstone Outline to plan what essential skills they
would like to show, and possible artifacts and evidence they could gather
to best highlight those items.
2. Students used a shared OneNote notebook through Office 365 to work
collaboratively in collecting artifacts, photos, and developing explanations
to highlight their knowledge of the essential skills they have gained in their
programs.
3. After students gathered all of their information, they worked collectively
to copy those items into Microsoft Word, using Textboxes and formatting
to get a nice printout of their completed products.
4. Students created a cover page, table of contents, and final reflection to
accompany their project.
5. Students printed and placed in available report covers, attaching their
resume as the first page.
6. Students participated in a simulated Mock Interview Process on May 17th,
using their resumes and Capstones to highlight the skills they have gained
to become a successful employee.
