The aim of this exercise was to make us aware of the context, surroundings and topography, and to interact with it.We had to reflect on the notions of space and room using elements with a specific shape and size making a public and roofless room out of them.The problematic was: How can an open-air space be defined and what could make a room, with one or multiple functions, out of it?

Lausanne is a City with large height differences.In this exercise, we had to deal with the slope between the park Montbenon and the Flon, two locations in the center of Lausanne, thinking about a direct path which would link them together.The suggestions had to follow the slope, as much as pos-sible, and could integrate spaces where people might want to stop.

Covered MarketThe Flon is one of the densest areas of Lausanne, commercially speaking.The programme of this project was to work on a covered market which could host different activities and to redefine the square on which it would be located.

Low rise, High densityRenens - SwitzerlandThe task was to deal with the issue of density in urban areas. Indeed, the sharp increase of po-pulation in the cities of Switzerland forces us to look for new forms of habitat in suburban areas.The program was to design a single family house on a 200sqm plot in a dense area and to give a great attention to the interior/exterior relation.

A Meditation Center for the United NationsGeneva - SwitzerlandLocated near to the United Nations and several other international organi-sations, this “Meditation Center“ is aimed to welcome people of any religion and belief. This project is about giving people a space to meditate, think and escape from the daily office stress.The programme is divided into two wings. The first one, opened to the north, contains the meditation room. Café, library, offices and the conference rooms are distributed in the second wing.

CInterweaving spaces

Lausanne 1835: Because of sever traffic congestions, Adrien Pichard develops Switzerland’s first bypass.Since then, the old town is deserted in favour of an acce-lerated growvth in the suburbes.The project’s aim is to create a link between these two parts of Lausanne: the modern city; economical and so-cial center and the old town; cultural and historical cen-ter, in order to re-establish the latter.To connect them taking great respect to the different ca-racteristics of these places, the project offers a «Cultural-Scape» sharing both public and cultural spaces making live together theaters, museums, meeting places, dance school, the cathedral, bars, shops and a high school.

Since then, the old town is diserted in favour of an accelera-ted groth in the suburbes.The project creates a bound between those two parts of Lau-sanne: the modern city; economical and social center and the old town; cultural and historical center, in aim to revalo-rise thise last one.

Extension for EPFL (Swiss Federal Institute of Technologies)Lausanne - Switzerland

For this project, we had to work on the extension of the GC-GR, two buildings which are part of the 1st stage of construc-tion of the campus realised in 1976.We first had to do a study of the structure and materials that had been used and to redraw a part of the building. We then had to make a proposal on how to extend it.Here the choice was: To build a new facade and entrance for the campus. The new structure uses the same modules as the existing one.

Loft for a PhotographerTuen Mun - Hong Kong

Internship - ICE Hong Kong I Loft

For this renovation project for a loft, located in the «New Territories» in Hong Kong, we had to work from the initial concept through to the exe-cution plans.

As the loft was aimed to be used by a photo-grapher it was asked that the focus be on the lighting, to divide the space and to creat a sto-rage space where it would be possible to control the humidity levels.

Proposal for the city of Hong Kong

The West Wing is an important part of Hong Kong’s spirit, which connects the House of the Governement and Victoria Harbour. For many years, this building was the most popular part of the complex of Governe-ment Hill. The aim of this proposal is to give this icon back to the people of Hong Kong.

Programme

Westwing will offer a variety of cultural and civic pro-grammes. The intention is to create a place which will show the diversity and the innovations of the city, in-forming about it’s past, it’s present and it’s future.

WestWing Plaza creates a civic space at the intermediate level of the WestWing. It is connected to former canteen and provides a space for sculptures and exhibitions as well public and festive events or just for the citizens to enjoy. It will be a highly interactive space for the people of Hong Kong.
