Position Description - Stepping Into Program Position Title Department of Social Services - One Delivery Implementation Support Location/Branch/Section DSS Victoria State Office, Families and Communities Section Position Duration 8 weeks from 1 December 2017 Position Overview The Department of Social Services (DSS) Delivery Group has established the One Delivery Program to design, implement and embed a new operating model for the management of grants and contracts and manage the transition of client agency programs and staff to DSS Delivery. The One Delivery Program operating model will enable a better practice, scalable, proportional and risk based approach to managing grants and contracts. One Delivery Program activities include; standardising program management processes; streamlining, consolidating and automating some functions, ensuring business practice improvements are reflected in supporting documentation. It will also align staff duties by function and or/region rather than by program. Delivery Group will also assume accountability for individual service provider performance, including Ministerial and event briefings, Senate Estimates, correspondence, and media responses. The One Delivery Implementation Support role will support the implementation of One Delivery in the Victoria State Office, through the creation of Regional Plans that will inform the work of Regional teams. Development of Regional Plans will include research and analysis of a range of data sources related to social wellbeing, disadvantage, and population growth such as ABS, SEIFA, and employment.
