Research Associate Position Experimental Therapeutic Department Roswell Park Memorial Institute

A research program is being developed to explore

relationships between drug action on cellular DNA and

cytotoxicity. The studies will emphasize development

of concepts designed to target DNA reactive antitumor

agents towards unique populations of genomic DNA.

of a group involved in studying lymphocyte-specific

tyrosine kinases and the molecular basis of leukemia.

Minimum requirements include a Ph. D. in molecular

tyrosine kinase oncogenes. Also required is significant

Postdoctoral Position Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre

A funded position is available immediately in a

research program investigating the role of lymphokines

in B-cell neoplasia and autoimmunity. Current projects

involve retroviral vectors (NAR, in press) and

transplantation of modified cells into immunodeficient

mice (PNAS 84, 2406-2410, 1987). Future studies will

include comparative analysis of transgenic mice. A

Associate Research Scientist

Associate research scientist-conduct research on the

structure of immunoglobulin and the regulation of

immunoglobulin biosynthesis, specifically that of IgE.

Major emphasis is on developing techniques for the

selective inhibition of IgE production without

interfering with the synthesis of other antibodies.

Requirements include Ph. D. in Biology or

Biochemistry with at least three years postdoctoral

research experience in immunology, including

knowledge of a variety of techniques used for

research in immunochemistry and cellular immunology
