    Every person wants to grow in his life and achievesuccess in every sphere of life. With growth all kind of

    resources, skills and prosperity also grow. Thisaccelerates the contentment and satisfaction andinculcate and cultivate positive thoughts. PositiveThoughts generate positive feelings and finally positiveresults. In this issue we have covered many aspects on

    growth in life. For mental growth it is necessary to keepit calm and compose. For that we have also includedsection of stretch management and section on food thatrelax mental tension and regulation blood circulation.

    All the successful persons practice many things incommon. In this issue we are publishing one section onwhat successful person do, which make them odd manout and successful in their life.

    2nd October is Mahatama Gandhis birthday. We havecovered some of his thoughts and ideas which will givebirth to a Mahatama in YOU also.

    With this issue, I really couldn't stop myself to express. After, getting the Posititude, my confidencelevel boosted up and I have no fear to tell that previously, I moved to depression state. But, afterreading, I found my life full of joy.

    Now, I can manage myself and my task in best way with time management. And very glad to knowthat in next issue, I will get the things on leadership.

    One more thing I want to write here when I gave Posititude very first time to my neighbours, theyfelt very good by reading....now, every month, they are asking for the issue.

    Everyone knows that Change in life is inevitable and is only the Constant. Changebring variances in life. Variance may be positive or it may be negative. In other

    words, positive variances are indication of growth. Whereas negative variance iscalled de- growth. According to Wikipedia Growth refers to a positive change insize, often over a period of time. Growth can occur as a stage of maturation or aprocess toward fullness or fulfillment. It can also perpetuate endlessly, for example,as detailed by some theories of the ultimate fate of the universe.

    From the time of birth we start growing Physically, Mentally, Emotionally andSocially. The moment we stop growing, our Decaying and death process is initiated.

    It is hard fact to accept and understand. So to live is to Grow continuously.

    If we take example of ourselves, physically we grow 24x7 by giving our body all thenutrients which are essential it. Nutrients are absorbed and wastes are drained outfrom our body by the different organs. Similarly we grow mentally by learningcontinuously from the education given by our parents & teachers. We learn fromour environment, by way of seeing, feeling and experiences we gained whileperforming our day to day functions.

    How to grow continuously is a very interesting topic? The mantra of growth isalready in the word GROW, which we are going to discuss in this issue of

    posititude .

    In simple language G stands for Give and Gather, R stands for Receive andRespond, O stands for Open and Operate and W Stands for Willingness and

    Work.

    G Gather Gathering is a very important activity in our life. To Grow weshould first of all Gather information aboutourselves. The Growth journey start with Self.Know who are we, what are our strengths &Skills, know what are our lifes goals andpriorities, know our environment where weare working and going to work in future. ForExample in case of searching for a Life Partner,

    First of all we should know every thing about ourselves, then know what kind ofpartner we want to have, know his / her family background, know his / her socialimage at work and where he/she lives, etc.,. Without knowing thyself, with whomand where we are going to start our life, we can never take decision and this vitaldecision is going to effect our whole life and our growth in life.

    Similarly, if we are joining a new job, gather all the information about the company,department, job profile, our responsibilities and authorities, people with whom weare going to work, etc.,. So to grown in our life it is very much important and crucialto gather the information and accordingly analyze and take decisions. Let it be ournew Job, Interview, Education, Vacation, Financial Planning, Family Planning, etc.,

    Give - Every religion, every spiritual leader, great personalities have alwaystaught us to GIVE first. Then only we clear our path of growth, peace andHappiness. There are many thing which we should give in life to Grow Give-up

    bad habits, give thanks to all who help you in any form, extend unconditionalhelp to the needy, give and share happiness, give goals to yourself.

    Receptive / Respond - Receive good Ideas, be receptive, talk less listen more.Receiver should have the capacity to receive, increasecapacity to receive. People are ready to give us, but wewill receive only if we have the capacity to receive.Being Calm, listen to others, we will definitely receive. Wewill be the winner. Others may give us good Idea,

    Solutions, Goals, opportunities, chances, resources, help, assistance, etc., whichwill form the path of Growth.

    Respond Always respond promptly with appropriate solution. People keepquite even when asked to respond. Never delay inresponding. It irritate others and create a bad image. Byresponding quickly, we clears obstacles in the path ofprogress. Giving response will take us to the next levelof communication. To grow, communication plays animportant roles.

    Open-up, openness, o pportunities, optimist.1) Open-up Never live in boundaries. Always open to new ideas and views.

    Be a part of the team. By opening up, we will be able to influence otherswith our Ideas. Never keep mum, respond to the queries and questions.This brings clarity of what we think and who we are. This is first steptowards trust building.

    2) Openness When parachute open, then only we lands safely, Being Openmind, we will be able to see the situation clearly andideas will come. Openness expose our personality, skills,

    Capabilities and knowledge. Without opening, how theworld will know about us. By opening ourselves, we giveopportunity to others to come close to us and know aboutus. It spread the knowledge and facts and trust in us. It alsogives us opportunity to know more about the persons,

    organizations, society and environment. Gathering knowledge and factwill only enhance the chance of Growth. Therefore adopt the policy ofopenness, if we want to Grow.

    3) Opportunities Growth is when Opportunity meets Preparedness . Beingprepared for getting success in opportunity we get in you life.

    4) Optimism - We all face lot of problems in our life and we know that alsothat without solving them we cant proceedfurther in our life. Even after knowing also webecome week to face those problems and start

    looking for solution outside. We become pitifuland expects other to help us to come out theproblem. But these difficulties are actually tests

    which we have to pass to go to the next level of the situation. If we dont try to solve the problems, we will stay at that level only. Even if someonehelps us to solve that problem, we may change the situation to nextlevel, but we are not capable to stay in that level, because we are notcapable to stay there, as we are there due to someones else efforts. For

    the next problem also someone has to help us to come out of it.Therefore we should have trust in ourselves and do the best efforts toface the problems, get success and change the problem intoopportunity. Then only we can grow in life. Sitting and waiting for others tohelp us is not going to help. This optimism is must to live life full ofgrowth. Optimism towards life is another version of Growth. To avoidContrition, we should be barmy to grow in our life.

    W Willing to Work, will power is the biggest power

    First of all, we should be willing towork, then only we can proceedfurther. Everyone work when

    1) It is necessary for life to live. LikeEating, sleeping.

    2) There is no choice to do. It isunder pressure. There is nooption, but to do.

    3) When we have interest in thetask according to our mood.

    4) When it is needed for livelihood.5) If we want to Grow, then we

    should have the fire to Grow andshould be willing to work forourselves.

    The Glory of Growth and the fireinside only motivates us to bewilling to work. In this situation,automatically we will developwill power to work for that work.We put 100% of our energy,strength, skills and capabilities.We use all the resources toachieve.

    When we are willing to work, Will power will automatically induces in us andwe become barmy to achieve our Goals. We have to trust ourselves to breakthe barrier of unwillingness and pessimism in us to avoid contrition in life atany stage of life.

    What Successful People do?

    Every successful person basically do the same things. Few of the practices are asunder

    1) Have a Sense of Gratitude First of all the successful person always thanks everyperson in his team for their roles. They give credit to others. This bond andinculcate faithfulness towards the leader.

    2) Forgive Others They are not attached with the result. If some body has performbad and unable to perform and unable to achieve the targets, they helpthem and get them the resources. They consider every person a person

    of skill. By forgiving other they create a favorable climate for success.

    3) Give others credit for their Victories They always give credit to the teammembers. This bond the team members and create a cohesiveness.

    4) Accept Responsibilities for Their Failure It is the responsibility of team leaderto groom every team member so that they can achieve their targets andcollectively contribute their part to the team Goals. If they fail or the team fail,

    they take full responsibility himself.

    5) They read Every day Successful people normally read at least an hour daily.Reading habit is very good. Apart that soothing the mind, it also update theknowledge bank and give more ideas to lead their life. They are more cognizantthat others.

    6) Talk about Ideas They always talk new Ideas and also spread the same in the

    Team. When we talk Ideas, we stop all other waste full thoughts. When we talkabout ideas our vision and intuition also improve and helps in getting success.

    7) Wants others to succeed They want every team member achieve their targetsand succeed. They knows that when every member is successful, then he and histeam goals will also be fulfilled. That is why they guide other to do their tasks andachieve their goals.

    10) Keep a To Be List They always have a To Be list with them. This list keepthem reminded what they want to be after some targeted date/time. This listkeep him ignited and focus to the goals.

    11) Keep a To -do List This is extension of To -Be List. Successful people alwayshave a to-do list of their priorities and closely chase the tasks and expeditethem within the time frame. This to-do list always keep them updated andplanned.

    12) Set Goals and Develop plans They always get goals for themselves andassociates. Based on the goals they formulate and develop plans to achieve

    them.

    13) Continuously Learn A leader is always a learner. Then only they can updatetheir selves and the team members. Learning process make them updated andupgraded. This facilitate him to perform with flying colors.

    14) Embrace Change Leaders and successful always accept the change and makethose changes in their working. Change is always Constant.

    15) Operate from a transformative Perspective They always keep on doing newand innovative things. They always work for transformation from older vision tonew vision. They always work for continual improvement.

    All over the world Mahatma Gandhi is appreciated for his values and works he hasdone for humanity irrespective races, religions and states. He consider every humanas Human and son of the same god. All are brothers and sisters. He was the causeof Independence of Republic of India. He was a person of principle. Let useremember him and learn from him and his life.

    1) Change yourself to change the world He consider every human a point ofenergy and always consider every person a medium of change. First of all wehave to change ourselves and then we can see the world changing. If we seethe life of Mahatma, we will see that he always keep on changing himselftoward more positive attitude. That is why all the world acknowledge andfollow him and his principles.

    As human beings, our greatness lies not somuch in being able to remake theworld that is the myth of the atomicage as in being able to remakeourselves .

    2) Take Control of Yourself Without our permission no-one can enter in ourhouse. In the same way no-one effect us without ourpermission. We should make our self strong enoughand should not deter ourselves due to externalfactors. If someone provoke or instigate us to dosomething wrong or become angry and biased, we

    should think that We are powerful soul, son / daughter of the almighty Godand we have full control on ourselves. No one can instigate and provoke us todo anything wrong. We should have control on our thoughts because ourThoughts control our actions.

    3) Forgive and Forget attitude We should have total control on our thoughts.Thoughts creates feelings and feelings control our actions. Therefore what wethink is what we do. Whenever someone hurt us, we should not think badthat person, rather think why he has taken wrong action against us.

    Some time knowingly or un- knowingly our words or act hurt feelings ofothers. Due to that others may also reaction against us. Or due to someproblem he may have reacted like that. Therefore rather then reacting weshould give others time to justify their action and we should forgive othersassuming that other person is unable to control his feelings therefore he hastaken that action. Otherwise no person wants to hurt others, it is the

    situation which provoke him / her insuch a way. Therefore instead ofsuffering from negativity we shouldforgive others. Once we forgive others,we forget the actions and reactions ofother. In this way we should give andget cooperation from everyone.

    The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong .

    4) Action speaks louder of thoughts Mahatma Gandhi has always believed inKarma. We should have positive and creative thought process, then only ouraction will be in that direction. Positive thoughts can be developed by readinggood literature, motivational books, biographies of great leaders and ourreligious scriptures. We should convert our thoughts into action then only

    thing will move in right directions. Thoughts has to be converted into action.

    An ounce of practice is worth more than tons of preaching .

    5) Live in Present Past is gone and if we think of past we can never change it.It is already written down and nothing can change or rub it. Therefore dontthink or live in past. It will only induce sufferings in us and effecting ourthoughts and actions. Future is in the hands of God. Nobody in this world

    can predict the future . It is not our work area. Therefore living in futurealso dont solve our problems and give us any solutions. Left is only presentwhich is in our hands and in which we can do what we want. Therefore asMahatama Gandhi, has always believed in present, we should also thinkand work for the present. Our future will depends on the work we do inpresent. Therefore present moment is the most important .

    I do not want to foresee the future. I am concerned with taking care of the

    present . God has given me no control over the moment following.

    6) We Are Human All of us are human and not god. Therefore every one ofus make mistakes in our lives. None of us is perfect. We learn from ourmistakes and practice not to repeat the same mistake again. Therefore if

    someone makes mistake, we should not start blaming others andshouldnt demotivate him, rather tell them that mistakes are part of ourlife and we should learn from them.

    We should catch people doing good things rather than catch them doingerr. Motivate people around us. Then only people will be less prone tomake mistakes.

    I claim to be a simple individual liable to err like any other fellow mortal.I own, however, that I have humility enough to confess my errors and toretrace my steps.

    It is unwise to be too sure of ones own wisdom. It is healthy to bereminded that the strongest might weaken and the wisest might err.

    7) To be persistent We should never dishearten ourselves due to failures ordifficulties. Difficulties are inevitable. They existevery where till unsolved. Once the problemis solved , it become s a wonderful experiencewhich help us tackle the same problem withease In future and also give us confidence toteach other to handle the situation like we

    have. Problems will come in way in the form of people, money, situation,

    negative thoughts and circumstances. But we have to keep ourselvespositively motivated by reminding ourselves that we are the power houseand have all the skills and capabilities to beat the situation and find thesuitable solution. Everyone and every situation will be easy to handle andovercome. When we start doing tasks, we start coming into lime light andresistance start to occur and it increase till we have the velocity to breakthe thrust. Therefore we shouldnt feel dis -hearted or demotivated whenwe face resistance. It is good for us.

    8) See goodness in Others Due to misunderstanding and bitter experiencewe seldom make a negative views about others. Every person is humanand have lot of goodness in him if we keep his negativity apart. We should

    always look goodness in others. What we see is what we get. Ourthoughts makes us behave accordingly. If we think bad of others, we willsee same in them and if we see good of others, others will be good for us.Our behavior decides the behavior of others towards us. Therefore alwaysthink positive of others, they will be positive and helpful. If we help othersthen others will also reciprocate help to us when we need from them.

    9) Be Honest, congruent and Authentic We should behave in a congruent

    manner and communicate in an authentic way. People seem to really likeauthentic communication. And there is much inner enjoyment to be foundwhen our thoughts, words and actions are aligned. When words andthoughts are aligned, our communication speaks the same. Our voicetonality and body language align over 90 percent of communication withour words.

    If our actions arent in alignment with what were communicating then we

    start to hurt our own belief in what we can do. And other peoples belief inus too.

    10) Continue to Grow and evolve - when our thoughts are aligned andcongruent to our goals, we tend to achieved success and growth. Ourthought makes us what we want to become. We should strive forcontinuous improving our skills and develop our capabilities to growcontinuously. We should continuously evaluate our habits and behaviour.

    This will bring ourselves closer to ourselves and will perform better. Wecome to know our shortcoming and negatives and this help us improve onthe negative factors.

    Constant development is the law of life, and a man who always tries tomaintain his dogmas in order to appear consistent drives himself into a

    false position.

    Stretch Exercises Now a days, in this yuga of Info-Technology and AdvanceTechnical resources, which help us doing our work in aneasier way, we have just forgotten to do regular exercises.More of works are mental and in-house. We work oncomputers, laptops, tablets and mobiles. Only our brain,hands and eyes work. We are so much engaged that weforgets to take care of part of body which are excessive usedand many are very less used but are kept in monotonousposition for long time. In both the cases our muscles,tendons, cartilages and bones get tired and stressed. If wedont release this stress it may pave to many of the chronical

    diseases which become difficult to cure at the latter stage.

    In this section, we are discussing some of the stretchexercises for office goers, which will release tension in themuscles and keep them mobile.

    Body Stretch Exercises*

    By stretching the pectoralis major, you canextend the range of motion in sidewaysabduction, extension, flexion and therotation of the long bone in your arm. Whenyou perform stretches, you can targetdifferent areas of the pectoralis major byaltering the angle of abduction, or distanceaway from the midline of your body.

    The trapezius muscle covers a large area ofthe back, neck and shoulders. Its mainfunction is to move the scapula, or shoulderblade, and help support your arms. If youspend a lot of time sitting at a desk orbehind the wheel of a car, the trapeziusmuscle can shorten and tighten, which

    affects mobility in your neck. Stretching thislarge muscle keeps it loose and pliable,relieves tension and preserves or restoresneck and shoulder health.

    Wrist stretch is a must for all the personwho particularly working with hands likewriting Work, typing work, handicraftworkers. These Stretch induce mobility inthe wrist and Relieve the tension in thewrist.

    The standing hamstring stretch is a greatstretch for your hamstrings ( rear-thighmuscles) and your lower back. If you havelower-back problems, do the same exercise

    while lying on your back on the floor andextending your leg upward.

    Quadricep stretches are a great way toreduce knee pain and help prevent injuries.Muscle tightness is a common cause of knee

    pain as it changes the way the forces gothrough the knee making it more prone toinjury.

    The Quadriceps are made up of four musclesthat run down the front of the thigh. Theycontrol how the knee straightens, and areparticularly important for activities such as

    kicking and running.

    Calf stretches can really help reduce kneepain and improve flexibility. The calf is madeup of two muscles on the back of your lowerleg, gastrocnemius (which starts just abovethe knee ) and soleus ( which starts just

    below the knee). The calf muscles main jobis to pull the foot down, like when you pointyour toes.

    The hip flexors are a group ofmuscles including bothmuscles of the hips and upperthighs. Your hip flexors move

    your knees into your chestand also move your legs fromfront to back and side to side.Because many people spendthe majority of their workdays sitting down, the hipflexors can become tight andprone to injury. Runners

    should pay special attentionto stretching this musclegroup.

    Stretching the piriformis muscle is almostalways necessary to relieve the pain alongthe sciatic nerve and can be done in severaldifferent positions.

    A number of stretching exercises for thepiriformis muscle, hamstring muscles, andhip extensor muscles may be used to helpdecrease the painful symptoms along thesciatic nerve and return the patient's rangeof motion.

    The supine trunk-rotation stretch is a goodreleasing exercise to help improve yourability to complete a stress-free backswingand follow-through in golf. If you have

    limitations in your spine rotation flexibility(in one or both directions), this exercise canhelp you gain flexibility in the proper regionof your spine and enable a better turn.

    Planning for retirement is as important as planning for ones career andmarriage. Everybody wishes to have a secure, independent retirement life,where you would not depend on others for your needs. Investments andallocations are accordingly channelized in this direction to achieve the desired

    goals. The Employee Provident Fund (EPF), Employee Pension Scheme (EPS) andPublic Provident Fund (PPF) are some of the popular products to invest for theretirement years.

    In the past few months, radical changes have been introduced in theseschemes. Let us have a look at them.

    1) PF portability: Every time you join a new company, you were given a new PF

    number. Then you had the option of moving your funds to the new account.Whether you did this or not affected the taxability of your PF deposits. Notany more. Your PF accounts are now going to be portable. The PrimeMinister Narendra Modi is going to launch the much-awaited Universal PFAccount Number (UAN) website to enable PF portability on October 16. TheUAN will be portable throughout the working career of an employee. Withthe UAN in place, workers in the organized sector need not apply for transferof PF claim in case of job-change. This means, the PF subscriber will not get a

    new number on joining a new firm. Instead the employee will get an ID linkedto UAN. So, this mechanism will help in smoothening PF transfer claims. Thenew website is expected to provide an individual personalized log-inmechanism to help in tasks like viewing updated PF amount, transfer claimsand updating KYC.

    Currently, the EPFO is in the process of linking the UAN of its 40 millionsubscribers with their bank accounts, Permanent Account Number (PAN),

    Aadhar and other identification details.

    2) Bank account and PF portability: The retirement fund body has askedcompanies to provide bank account numbers of their employer members byOctober 15. It has also asked for the IFSC or Indian Financial System Codenumber for easy transfer of PF payment. The IFSC helps identify the branchwhere the account is based. This helps transfer money easily. The bankaccount numbers with IFSC codes will be linked to the Universal PF Account

    Number (UAN). This will help in portability of PF accounts.

    The above 3 changes have come into effect from September 1, 2014

    6) PF interest rate: When you invest in a provident fund, you earn an interest.The government fixes this rate on a yearly basis. For the year 2014-15, theinterest rate on provident fund deposits has been retained at 8.75%. Thismeans, the nearly 50 million PF subscribers will earn 8.75% on their depositamount this year.

    7) Tax on PF withdrawal: If an employee withdraws his PF accumulation beforefive years of completing service, the entire amount withdrawn will be taxablefor that year. However, if you transferred your PF every time you changed you

    job, your total tenure of work will be calculated. For example, if you worked fora year at company A and for four years at company B, and you transferred yourPF, then a total work-period of five years will be calculated.

    this direction. The children do not takeinterest in studies. There is no sound sleep.People have much anger. Decisions aregenerally taken hurriedly.

    Your Prayer Room- Room for prayer and meditation is recommended to be inthe north-east corner of the house. Deity or image of god should not face thesouth direction. Ideal positions are such that you face east or west whilepraying.

    Bathroom - Bathroom should constructed in the West and South directions andthe flow of its drains should be towards North-East.

    Toilet - Toilet should be constructed mainly towards South or West. Never buildtoilets in the direction of eastern corner ant the face should be towards southor West while discharging stool.

    Bed Room - According to vastu, the master bedrooms should be in the South-West corner of the house. If the house has more than one floor then, then itshould be on the top most floor. The ceiling should be in level, this makes theenergy of the room uniform, which in turn gives one a steady state of mind.

    Children`s Room - Children s room should be in the north west or west side. Tohave a better concentration they should have a separate study close to theirbedrooms.

    Drawing Room - It should be in North-West, South or west direction. Thefurniture should be kept in South and West directions. Open space should bemaximum in North and East directions.

    Dining Room - The dining room should be constructed in South-East. Thedining room and kitchen should be on the same floor and it should be adjacentto the kitchen from the left. The entrance to the dining room and the maindoor should not be facing each other. The dining table should be square ofrectangular in shape and should not be attached or folding against the wall.

    General Room -Though, it is sparingly used; yet it should be constructed in theNorth-West.

    Guest Room - It should be in North-West corner.

    Kitchen - The kitchen must be situated in fire angle, i.e. in South-East. The face ofthe cook should be towards the East. The water tap in kitchen should be in theNorth-East direction. It is better if the stone on which food is cooked, is of redcolour.

    Study Room - The North-East, North-West, North, West, East corners are bestfor a study room. If the study room and place of worship room are adjacent thenit is considered most beneficial. These directions attract the positive effects ofMercury increasing brain power, Jupiter increasing wisdom, Sun increasingambition and Venus helps in bringing about creativity in new thoughts andideas.
