CAREER CLUSTER

Grouping of careers that fit a student’s interests.

PERSONALIZED PATHWAY CREDITS

High school classes that correspond with the student’s career cluster.

Career Cluster and Personalized Pathways determined at middle school.

Four-Year University Requirements

• Two Years of International Language

• Senior Year Math or Math Based Science

• ACT/SAT (Junior/Senior Year)

• English

• Science

• Health (If not currently enrolled)

• PE (Recommended)

Math

Math placement is based on data from assessments, current math, and input from current math teacher. NO math gaps through Algebra 2.

Algebra 2 or Advanced Alg 2/ Trigonometry (TBD)

Science

Students have two science options:

Physics and Chemistry

OR

Agricultural Physics and Chemistry

Pre- AP Freshman English (additional rigor)

Fitness (PE)/Health

Students will rank their PE preference requests and will be placed based on availability.

If students did not take health their 8th grade year we will work to get them into a health class as a freshman.

International Languages

May be replaced with personalized pathway credits.

Two Class Structures

All students take eight classes in a year.

Semester = 1.0 Credit (Meets for 90 consecutive days)

A/B = 1.0 Credit (Meets every other day for the year)
