Brainwave is a large-scale glass artwork on the student entrance glazing atthe Milton Keynes Academy, and forms part of a collection of public artdeveloped by lead artist Stephen Skrynka for the new school. The artwork ismade up of thousands of Venetian glass mosaic pieces applied to theinterior of the glazed units. The design is based on brain cell structures tocelebrate the mystery and power of the imagination and the world of ideas. This project was developed by Milton Keynes Council in partnership withthe Academy staff and pupils.
