Maths Winter Weekend The M500 Society began in 1973 as a self- help group for Open University mathematics students.. Find out more at www.m500.org.uk and on facebook. Do you enjoy maths, in or out of the classroom? Are you fed up with mince pies and feel like tackling pi instead? The Open University’s M500 society run informal maths weekends where we get together and enjoy a range of mathematical activities, anything from card tricks and codebreaking to probability and Pythagoras.
