General Pricing Guidelines

The prices listed in this guidebook reflect the most accurate base prices

of our products at the time of publication. Please keep in mind there are

several factors that can affect the final cost of any project. They are:

Size and Quantity

Materials

Custom Fabrication and/or Finishing Options

Advanced File Manipulation

Extensive Color Correction

Multiple Proofing Cycles

Shortened Turnaround Times (i.e., RUSH)

Because the majority of our work is custom and one-off projects, please

contact us with the details of your job and we will determine exactly what

your cost is based on all of the above criteria. We will work closely with you

to make absolutely certain that we deliver a product with which you will be

completely satisfied.


General Printing Guidelines

Optimum file resolution for most fabric output is 100 pixels per inch (ppi) at 100% print size.

Smooth fabrics with a high thread count will hold greater detail than softer knit materials.

If you are unsure of what resolution to use, images of 150ppi are suitable for all printing methods

PDF submitted for output MUST be set up in CMYK workspace.

All fonts should be included with your files or converted to outlines.

Digital printing will be output in CMYK process.

Convert all Spot color to Process where possible, especially if your artwork contains gradients, blends, drop shadows, or transparency of any kind. Complex art work can also be rasterized and saved in an image format at 100% print size and resolution, preferably as an uncompressed TIF, Photoshop PDF or EPS.

Colors will be matched as close as possible, but cannot be matched at 100%. Color critical jobs must be accompanied by an accurate color target proof.

Files can be FTP transferred via our website (posterprints.com/upload.html). Please compress files before uploading. (WinZip, Stuffit, etc.).

Large files (1 GB or larger) should be sent on CD or DVD.

Send artwork early to avoid production delays.

Normal production time lines begin AFTER your job has been approved to print. Initial reviews are typically ready within 24 hours of receiving your files and instructions for output.

All jobs must be reviewed and approved prior to production.

Only submit files relevant to production. Extraneous files may incur additional setup fees.

Complex artwork may require additional setup and processing charges.

Additional charges may apply if these guidelines are not followed.

What are “print ready” PDF files?

If a PDF is submitted the file MUST BE set up in a CMYK workspace.

Print ready PDFs (Portable Document Format) are the preferred format for “open and print” projects. Because these files are created with all resources necessary to achieve final printing without any modifications, there are no setup fees involved. Files sent to us that are not print ready PDFs, or that require color correction, and/or multiple proofing cycles are subject to a one-time setup fee of $55 and material costs on any extra proof prints.

CMYK or RGB?

CMYK is preferred. Image quality may be affected if RGB is used. If a PDF is submitted the file MUST BE set up in a CMYK workspace.

What if my files need color correction?

Color corrections and substitutions can be made during the production process, but there are limitations. Pantone color matching applies only to vector art contained within the files provided to us. Raster (i.e., pixels or bitmap) images can be altered in a global sense (overall tones, contrast, etc.), but not with the same precision that can be made with vector graphics. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have questions regarding the ideal parameters required for quality results.

inFusion™ Digital Textile Printing

What is inFusion Digital Textile Printing? Our exclusive inFusion™ process allows us to present our clients with a wide range of exciting new avenues for their imaging needs. Special patented inks used with the inFusion process produce the amazingly bright, vivid colors in a flexible, versatile and durable format. inFusion gives results that screenprinting and surface printed fabrics can’t match.

What are the advantages digital textile printing? The inFusion transfer process permanently bonds the color into the fibers of the material. This results in a product that is full of vibrant, saturated color without any need for over laminates or special coatings.

What products can be made from digitally printed textiles? Printed fabrics are typically used for exhibits and displays, however, the graphical application of textiles is limited only by the imagination.

What are the environmental impacts of digital textile prints? inFusion prints offer an ecologically sound alternative to solvent inks and vinyl banners. Inks used in the inFusion process are solvent-free water-based pigmented inks. InFusion fabrics are recyclable and biodegradable.

What is the maximum size that can be produced? 96” by 100 ft of seamless image area is possible. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any consultation regarding your project.

How should files for textile printing be prepared? Files should be submitted using the same guidelines for typical digital output. See our printing guidelines included in this publication.

Can these products be used outdoors? Yes, contact us for information regarding outdoor fabric materials.

Is there a minimum order for textile prints? The digital process allows us to produce quantities of one just as easily as one hundred. Call us now for a free quote, 888.676.7837.

Can the fabric be made fire resistant? Some materials are NFPA 701 Fire Rated (FR), All materials are upgradable to most fire resistant coatings, including Boston Fire Code IX-1, with no noticeable change in fabric hand.

Featured Project

Stovall Life Sciences of Greensboro needed a display to promote their flagship product. It was the perfect opportunity for us to incorporate motion with their graphic elements. We offered them the Rolling Banner Stand as an ideal solution to get the attention that their product rightly deserves. The graphic panel is a loop of inFusion printed fabric placed over motorized rollers that gently scroll the image continuously.

Delivering twice the content in the same space as a static stand, the Rolling Banner Stand rotates a continuous 160” (4064 mm) graphic using an electric motor concealed in the base.

Display measures 33-1/2” wide (85 cm) by 78” tall (198.1 cm).

Digital fabric printing is the on the cutting edge of today’s marketing and display media technology. Paper prints look great but must be secured to a substrate and/or laminated for protection. Vinyl is inexpensive, but tough on the environment when it comes to disposal. Our custom printed full color fabrics are durable lightweight, wrinkle-resistant, colorfast, machine washable, and quite possibly the most vibrantly bright color you’ve ever seen.

The versatility of full color fabric printing has virtually endless possibilities and opens up an entirely new way to look at marketing and trade show exhibiting. This easy-to-handle Deluxe Podium Case is designed to hold and protect your valuable display. This case is unique since it is based on the concept of a suitcase and not a trashcan. The case is designed to open like a suitcase, you can easily load and position your items, and can quickly and easily be turned into a spacious counter. The flag pole is made of carbon fiber with stainless steel connectors, and shock-corded together as a single unit. It is foldable, very easy to assemble and is simply mounted to the weighted base or the ground stake.

The ground stake is an option to be used instead of the weighted x-base. The ground stake has the same type of rotational hub as the weighted base.

The weighted, scissor-style, x-base offers great stability and is easily folded for transportation. A rotational hub enables the flag pole to rotate when windy. Four soft surface ground stakes are available as an accessory. The footprint of the weighted x-base is 39 3/8” x 36”.

For the 13’ (4 m) high flag, there is an extra weight that is placed in the middle of the weight-ed x-base. It should also be used for 10’ (3 m) height if exposed to winds more than 33 MPH
