Due three months after first registration
One- or two-page report by student describing training received to date and
plans for the remainder of the first year
Training Log indicating needs for first year
Signed by Supervisor, Advisor and Moderator
Send to DoGS
Three-month report
Monitoring
Postgraduate Induction in Physics at
Royal Holloway, University of London
Student writes 3000 – 5000 word report, describing work carried out so far,
how well objectives set after 3 months have been met, and containing a plan
for the second year.
Hand in with Training Log to Supervisor by 3rd June
Arrange viva with Advisor and Moderator by 1st July
A decision will be made on whether student transfers from MPhil to PhD
status at this stage
If not, a clear set of criteria will be agreed between Student / Supervisor /
Advisor / Moderator for this to be achieved during year two
