KEY SKILLS• Designing – women’s, men’s and accessories, using hand drawings and illustrator, understanding the construction of footwear and finding ways to overcome obstacles and realise designs effectively.

• Product knowledge – understanding the need to know your market and being able to design appropriately for the target consumer.

• Trend Knowledge – effective research methods, using a variety of sources. Understanding the trends and conveying them to work colleagues through the use of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, in a clear and creative format.

• Communication – the ability to interact with a variety of people from different backgrounds. Having worked in a for-eign country, the importance of non-verbal communication was greatly highlighted, which is important when dealing with clients and factories abroad.

• Professional Conduct – developing a professional man-ner within the workplace and on business trips. Demonstrat-ing a good work ethic and commitment to deadlines, through effective time management and dedication.
