How we workToday, 85 per cent of the world’s energy consumption comes from fossil fuels. With climate change, depletion of natural resources and the market price reduction, coal concession owners are looking to utilise the coal at source and hence convert into energy via power plant solutions, which are both sustainable and energy efficient. Power Consultants Indonesia (PCI) offers a multidisci-plinary approach to thermal power generation and distribution projects. Our experience spans the complete range of skills needed to take a project from concept through to commercial operation, inclusive of operations and maintenance. This includes feasibility and scoping studies, detailed design, plant specification and tender review, contract negotiations, project management and plant enhancement studies during the operations phase, as well as lender’s and owner’s engineer.

with various utilities in the day-to-day execution of
PPA’s.

Transmission & DistributionPCI’s engineering staff has designed hundreds of kilometres
of overhead transmission lines for a variety of energy clients
including private investors, public utilities, municipalities
and rural cooperatives.
Our T&D project design execution utilizes the latest in
technical tools together with computer automated programs
for the generation of conductor and line design, structure
modelling and spotting and detailed drawing development.
Due DiligencePCI has completed many due diligence reviews and knows
what to look for when evaluating the purchase of an exist-
ing power asset. As part of our due diligence process, we
would conduct a thorough operational, EH&S, technical,
contractual, financial and legal analysis before advising on
purchasing an asset, group of assets, company or merger. A
due diligence review and report by PCI provides our clients
with the technical and strategic recommendations, market
assessments, third party evaluations, and advice needed to
move forward with the investment, or clear evidence to look
elsewhere.
