Cost to purchase a lock is $5.00 Pay front office and bring receipt to Mr. Rotosky. Mr. Rotosky’s office is located in the cafeteria Lockers are not to be shared. School is not responsible for items left in lockers. Lockers are property of DPS and may be

inspected at any time. Students are responsible for replacing lost or

stolen locks.

Every student who wishes to park on campus

must purchase a parking permit from the front office. The cost is $75.00.

The driver is responsible for his/her vehicle should it be involved in any violation while on school property.

If a student is in a car pool, he/she must insist that passengers follow school policies. Violation of school policies by passengers may cause the driver to lose his/her parking privileges and/or parking permit.

Disciplinary procedures will be handled as follows for

traffic infractions, such as speeding, reckless driving, spinning tires, etc. unless specified otherwise: 

1st violation = Written Warning 2nd violation = Suspended parking privileges for 30 days 3rd violation = Vehicles prohibited from SHS campus

**Continued parking infractions will merit having the vehicle towed at the owner’s expense and loss of

parking privilege.**

EXPECTATION: Students are expected to be INSIDE their classrooms at the ringing of the tardy bell.

Violation 1 and 2 = Warning/Parent Contact Violation 3 = Lunch Detention Violation 4 = Period Detention Violation 5 = ISS Violation 6 = OSS for noncompliant behavior or

other appropriate administrative intervention.

** Failure to attend Lunch Detention/s will result in full day of ISS** Failure to attend ISS will result in OSS.

Students should not wear clothing or other

articles of personal appearance which: Depict profanity, obscenity, or violence; Promote the use of tobacco, drugs, or alcohol; May create a threat to health, or safety to

others; Are associated with intimidation or violence, or

may be disruptive.

The following specific items are also prohibited:

Clothing worn to reveal underwear, cleavage, or bare skin between the upper chest and mid-thigh;Bare feet, bedroom slippers, pajamas;

Spaghetti straps, strapless tops, halter tops, and Tank shirts (Wife Beaters):

See through, mesh garments; Pants worn below the waist level; Excessively baggy or tight clothing; Shorts or skirts shorter than mid-thigh Sunglasses inside school building Hats, hoods, sweat bands and bandannas or other head wear inside

school building Any other article of appearance that is physically revealing or

provocative

found posted in the cafeteria, front lobby and front office.

Please review student conduct on the bus section of the student handbook.

Off – campus lunch passes can be purchased

from the front office.

Students will pick up application from front office, pay the $10 fee and return completed application to Mr. Rotosky. (Mr. Rotosky’s office is located in the cafeteria)

Passes: Off-Campus Pass is $10. Students must have an off-

campus pass in order to leave campus during POWER Block.  Eligibility:

40-minute privilege (students may leave campus for 40 minutes during POWER Block, but must return before the 2nd half of POWER.)

A Senior with 2.5 GPA or higher (+ parent permission) A Junior with a 3.2 GPA or higher (+ parent permission)

  80-minute privilege (students may leave campus for 80

minutes during POWER) A Senior with 3.5 GPA or higher (from previous semester.) + parent

permission.

Late coming back to campus

1st offense = warning 2nd offense- = student will lose off-campus privileges for 1 week. 3rd offense = student will lose off-campus privileges for 9 weeks.

Any attempt to transport an illegible student off campus will result in the permanent loss of the off-campus pass and privileges.

An administrator reserves the right to revoke an off-campus pass for disciplinary reasons.

  **Students may NOT bring lunch back to campus for themselves

or any other student.**

bag” lunch, but will return to eat lunch with advisory class.
