“Power ship Project”Power ShipsPower Ships
• The Powerships are high technology floating power plants designed and constructed to fulfill the urgent electricity needs of the countries through rental contracts or power purchase agreements (PPA)
• Powerships are a special purpose marine vessels, on which a power plant is installed to serve as a power generation resource
• Powerships can operate both on liquid fuels (HFO/RFO)as well as natural gas with a dual fuel option
• Converted from existing ships, the powerships are self-propelled, ready to go into the national grids where required
• They can be equipped with single or multiple gas turbines, diesel and gas engines, boilers or nuclear reactors for electricity generation

WHAT IS POWERSHIP?
• Today there are over 75 power barges deployed and
operating around the world.
• It is expected that a powership will moor at one place for an
average duration of 3 to 5 years.
• The utilization rate of power barges is around 95% with
only one or two power barges available in the global market
at any one time
• Power barges are simply conventional power plants
installed on a deck barge. These are sometimes called
"floating power plants" or "barge mounted power plants
3
WHY SHOULD WE USE POWERSHIP ENERGY?
• Man
• Wartsila
• Hyundai
• Mitsubishi
• Others
4
WHO ARE THE SUPPLIERS of the GENERATORS?
EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction)
Companies
• Navtek Naval Technologies Inc.
• Power Barge Corporation
• Waller Marine Inc.
5
WHO ARE THE SOLUTION PROVIDERS
• Angola• New York City (USA)• Bangladesh• Dominican Republic• Ghana• Philippines• Jamaica• Kenya• Malaysia• Pakistan• Lebanon• Iraq• Venezuela• Others
6
CUSTOMERS of POWERSHIP ENERGY
• Fast delivery: delivery period is comparatevily short
• No capital investment required
• Have no site risk
• Operation of powerships is ideal in areas with poor logistic
infrastructure.
• They are unaffected by floods, landslides and earthquakes,
and have minimal use of land space
7
BENEFITS of USING POWERSHIP ENERGY
• Powerships are an ideal solution to bridge the gap for a
certain time until a local power plant is built or the high
demand in electricity supply is over
• Powerships are more economical than operating existing
old power plants.
• Support of industry growth with reliable power
• The powerships provide power to avoid electricity
shortages
• A mobility advantage for future use in other locations.
8
BENEFITS of USING POWERSHIP ENERGY
• Powerships are typically moored in protected harbors free
of waves
• Powerships Self-contained with step-up transformers that
provide 154/132 kV & 50-60 Hz as the nominal output
• Connected to land-based transformers (a substation) that
send electricity to domestic consumers.
9
SET-UP, INSTALLATIN and POWER CONNECTION
• Provide mooring location for the powership free of waves
and disturbances
• Provide substation for power line connection
• Provide fuel
• Provide for the necessary licences to operate
• Provide steady payment per contract
10
OBLIGATIONS OF THE CUSTOMER
• Design and build the powership
• Deliver and start-up the powership
• Operate and maintain the powership
• Guaranty supply of 85% of the design capacity over a year
11
OBLIGATION OF THE CONTRACTOR
• NAVTEK Marine Technology Corp. www.navtek.net
• Pioneer in powership design and building from existing
vessels
• Experince in ship building and design since 1977

WHO ARE WE:
• Generating Capacity: POWERSHIP with 102.78 MW
power. The power plant will have 6 generating sets. Each
set is producing 17.13 Mwe
• Output: 102.78 MW @ 154/132 kV & 50 Hz as the
nominated output electric power
• Fuel Type: Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO) or LNG
• Annual Availability: According to the above assumption,
annual availability of the plant is 84%, which
correspondence to 714,279 Mweh annual production
• Contract Period: Minimum 3-year contract
• Delivery: 12 month delivery period after the contract
signing
13
WHAT WE PROPOSE
• Currently, price rate (megawatt per hour) of powership
power is between 65 USD/MwH and 100 USD/MwH
• Price per MwH varies depending on
– Capacity of the powership
– Duration of the contract
– Generator types used
– Fuel to be used
• Detailed financial model will be provided after the issuance
of MoU or LOI
14
COST PER MWH FOR BUDGET PURPOSES
• Intruductry proposal: Submitted
• Presentation of the Proposal: We welcome an
opportunity to present the project in person
• MOU or LOI: In due course
• Firm proposal with financial provisions: Within 30 days
from the receipt of MOU or LOI
• Negotiaiton of the Proposal: In due course
• Contract Signing: In due course
