Consumer awareness and association with Fresh From Florida brand Legislation What 2018 Farm Bill means for Industrial Hemp Florida Bill Passes May 2019. Effective August 2019 if Governor signs into Law. Rulemaking Once law is effective FDACS can begin rulemaking process Licensing 1. Once rules are in place, FDACS can begin licensing application process and issue permits for the first growing season.
1. Identify hemp varieties suitable for planting in Florida’s various environments.
2. Develop hemp management practices and cropping systems economically viable for Florida.
