Safety - Notice to parentsThe recommended age for operating this Mini Bike is 13 and over. Eventhough a child may meet the minimum recommended age,children differ in skills, physical abilities, and judgement. Some childrenmay not be able to operate a Mini Bike safely. Parents shouldpermitcontinued use only if they determine that the child has the ability tooperatethe Mini Bike in a safemanner.

Continual adult supervision is required for children under the age of16.

This Warranty is NOT the Emissions ControlWarrantyPlease note this is a general Limited Warranty for this product. It ISNOTan Emissions Control Warranty. Please see the Emissions Control Warrantyin this manual for warranties covering Emission components. TheEmissions Control Warranty can be found on page31.

The WarrantyColeman Powersports offers the following warranty to the initial purchaserof this new Coleman Powersports product. The initial purchaser is definedas the first person to purchase a new Coleman Powersports product froman AuthorizedRetailer.

The limited warranty period for this product is 90 days from the date ofpurchase shown on the original sales receipt.

What is a Defect?The Product is warranted to be free from manufacturing defects in materialand workmanship for a period of 90 days from the date of purchase shownon the sales receipt. During this period of time Coleman Powersports will,at its option, either repair, refund purchase amount, or replace anyoriginalColeman Powersports unit/part which is covered by this warranty and isproven to be defective in workmanship or material.

To qualify for this warranty the part:

1. Must have been purchase from Coleman Powersports or fromanauthorized Coleman Powersports Retailer.2. Must have been used in a manner consistent with the intended useforthe vehicle. This warranty does not apply to any vehicle which is usedincompetition or used in a manner not consistent with the intended useforthe vehicle which would also include rental or commercial use.

Who Can Perform Repairs Under thisWarranty?Repairs under this warranty should be performed by anauthorizedColeman Powersports retailer or comparable servicingdealer.

How to get service under thiswarrantyTo get warranty service call Coleman Powersports at 888-405-8725 for thelocation of your local servicing retailer / dealer. Please do not return theproduct to the retailer where the product was purchased unless instructedto do so by Coleman Powersports. The retailer of this product doesnotmake any warranty of its own and has no authority to implement thiswar-ranty on behalf of Coleman Powersports without the approval ofColemanPowersports. A COPY OF YOUR SALES RECEIPT IS REQUIRED FORWARRANTY SERVICE.

What this Warranty Does NotCover

This warranty does not cover the following

1. Damage to lack or improper maintenance as describe in thismanual.2. Damage which is caused by normal use and not cause by a defect inmaterials or workmanship.3. Use of the product which is not consistent with the intended useasdescribed in the operating instructions.4. Any expendable maintenance items which needs replacement orservice as normal maintenance requires unless these normalmaintenanceitems become defective prior to their normal life due to a material defect ora defect in workmanship.5. Any product which has been altered or modified in a manner notconsistent with the original design of the product or in a manner notapproved by ColemanPowersports.6. Tires7. Damage or failures due to abuse, neglect, or misuse of the product.

Limitations of thisWarrantyThis warranty does not cover and Coleman Powersports disclaims anyresponsibility for:1. Loss of time or loss of use of the product.2. Transportation costs to and from the authorized center.3. Other loss or damage to other equipment or personal items.

Length of ImpliedWarrantiesAny implied warranties are limited to the duration set forth in this warranty.Coleman Powersports does not make any claim as to themerchantabilityor fitness for a particular purpose which would extend longer than theduration of this writtenwarranty.

Check your State Laws as some State Laws do not allow limitations as tothe duration of an implied warranty. Some States may also notallowlimitation or exclusions based on incidental or consequential damages.

SAFETYThis Mini Bike is recommend-ed for riders 13 and older.

Always wear a certified DOTmotorcycle type helmet thatfits properly, over the ankleboots, eye protection, gloves,long sleeve shirt and longpants while operating thismini bike.

Never allow a passenger onthis mini bike. This mini bikeis designed for one operatorand no passengers.

Never operate this mini bikeon paved surfaces and/orpublic roads. Pavementmaycause the mini bike tobecome unstable. The tireson the mini bike are foroff-road use only.

Always go slowly and payattention to unfamiliar terrain.Be alert to changing terrainconditions when operating theMini bike.

Never operate with long hairor loose clothing uncon-strained. Long hair and looseclothing can get caught inmoving parts of the mini bike

Never take drugs or alcoholbefore or during operation ofthis mini bike.

Never traverse, climb or godown a hill that is too steep.Avoid hills with loose orslippery terrain.

Never attempt wheelies,jumps or any other type ofstunts on this mini bike.

Always follow the pre-rideinspection procedures andmaintenance procedureslocated in this manual beforeuse.

Always go slow on terrain thatis not familiar, be alert, anobstacle could come upunexpectedly.

Always keep both hands onthe handlebars and both feeton the foot pegs, doing so willhelp the operator be ready forunexpected situations.

Do not operate in fast flowingwater. Water can affect thebraking performance of themini bike. Check brakingperformance after exposureto water, it may be necessaryto apply the brakes allowingfriction to dry out the pads.

Always Check the throttle toensure it works properly and“snaps back” to idle prior tostarting the mini bike.

Right Throttle Grip(1): The enginespeed is regulated by the positionof the right throttle grip. Throttle isincreased by turning the throttle griptoward the operator. Enginespeedis decreased by turning the throttlegrip away from theoperator.

Engine Stop Switch (2): MiniBike engine can start when theEngine stop switch is placed in the(on) position. Engine will shut offand the engine will not start whenthe switch is placed in the (off)position.

Left hand brake lever (3): The rearbrake is applied when the left handbrake lever is pulled toward thehand grip.

DESCRIPTION AND PART FUNCTIONSChoke operation

Choke Lever (1): If the engine is cold,the choke can help start the engineby placing the choke lever to the “ON”(right) position. Once engine haswarmed up , place choke lever back tothe “OFF” (left) position.

Fuel Valve operationFuel Valve (2): To start the engineand run the mini bike, the fuel valveneeds to be placed in the “ON”(vertical) position. This allows fuelto flow to thecarburetor.When finished riding, and whiletransporting, place fuel valve in the“OFF” (horizontal) position.

Fuel CapFuel TankCapTo open the fuel tank cap (3),Turn the cap counter clockwise toremove. To re-install the cap, turnthe cap clockwise until snug.

Starter Recoil CordStarter Recoil Cord (4)To start the engine, place the on/off switch locate on the handlebarsto the “ON” position and pull theStarter Recoil Cord

Oil Fill plugOil Fill Plug (5)To check or add oil, open the oilfill plug/dipstick by turning counterclockwise. To tighten, turn clock-wise.

FUEL FUEL AND OILNever use leaded gasoline in thisproduct. It could affect the engine’semissions and damage the engine.Mini Bike requires clean unleadedregular gasoline with a minimumoctane rating of 86 or higher.

Gasoline/ Ethanol blendsA blend of unleaded gasoline withEthanol, also known as GASOHOL,at or below 10% (E10 ) can be usedin your Mini Bike. Ethanol greaterthan 10% can damage your engineand will void yourwarranty.

Gasoline/MethanolBlendsA blend of gasoline withMethanolof 5% or less can be used in yourMini Bike. Do not use gasoline,under any circumstances, contain-ing more than 5% Methanol, doingso will damage your engine and willvoid thewarranty.

Fu

! WARNINGFuel and fuel vapor are highlyflammable and toxic. You canbe burned or poisoned whilerefueling.Before refueling make sure tofollow the procedures listed:1 Shut off engine, Make sure

there are no flames, sparksor heat sources close by.

2 Refuel only outdoors in a wellventilated area.

3 Do not smoke whilerefueling.

4 Wipe up any spillsimmediately.

5 Avoid breathing any fuelvapors.

6 Keep children and petsaway.

ENGINE OIL

The recommended oil for this MiniBike is SAE10W-30 motor oil, if thisoil is not available, any of the oils onthe chart below will work. Note thetemperature requirements for eachof the oils.

Quantity of oil - .63qt. (.6L).

! WARNINGOver filling the fuel tank cancause the fuel to expandwhich can cause overflow dueto the heat from the engine orsun. Spilled fuel can catchfire.Never fill the fuel tank abovethe bottom of the filler neck.

PRE-RIDE INSPECTIONInspecting and checking thecondition of the Mini Bike beforeeach ride is important. Followingthe pre-ride check list will helpinsure the you do not havemechanical problems whichcould result in injury or becomingstranded. Make sure theMiniBike is in good operating conditionbefore each ride.

! WARNINGFailing to inspect andmaintain your Mini Bikecould be hazardous.Not following the pre-rideinspection procedures couldresult in loosing control of theMini Bike resulting in anaccident or damage to theMini BikeAlways perform a Pre-rideinspection before each ride.

! WARNINGPerforming maintenance andchecks while the engine isrunning could be hazardous.

You could be severely in-jured by moving parts or hotsurfaces.

Never perform maintenanceor check procedures whilethe engine is running withthe exception of checking theengine stop switch or throttle.

RIDING THE MINI BIKEHELMET, EYEPROTECTION,PROTECTIVECLOTHING 1Always wear a DOT or SNELLcertified motorcycle helmet (1). Ahelmet helps protect against serioushead injuries in the event of anaccident. A helmet is themost 3important safety gear item you canwear. Consult with a motorcycledealer for the correct size and typeof motorcycle helmet that is right for 4you.

5Always wear eye protection whenriding a Mini Bike such as a face 6shield or goggles (2). While ridinga Mini Bike you can be hit in theeyes by any of the following: dust,branches, rocks, debris from otherriders, bugs, etc. Good eyeprotection as well as a helmet andprotective riding gear should bemandatory when riding a Mini Bike.Wear protective clothing: Longsleeve shirt (3), Gloves (4), Longpants (5), over the ankle boots (6).Riding a Mini Bike exposes the riderto many hazards, wearing protec-tive clothing can help protect therider from injury.

WARNINGRiding the Mini Bike without ahelmet, eye protection, andprotective clothing can behazardousRiding a Mini Bike without a helmetincreases the chance of severehead injury or death in the event ofan accident.Riding a Mini Bike without eyeprotection such as a face shield orgoggles could result in severe injuryin the event of an accident.Riding a Mini Bike withoutprotective clothing; over the ankleboots, long pants, gloves, longsleeve shirt could result in severeinjury in the event of an accident.Always wear a Helmet, eye protec-tion, long pants, long sleeve shirt,over the ankle boots and gloveswhen riding the Mini Bike.

RIDING THE MINI BIKESTARTING ENGINETo start the engine

1. Place the fuel valve (1) in the“ON” (vertical) position.

2.. If engine is cold, place the chokelever (2) in the “ON” (right position.

3. Place the ON/OFF switch (3),located on the handlebars, in the(on)position.

4. Pull the starter recoil cord (4) tostart the engine.

5. Once engine has warmed up for afew minutes, place the choke lever(2) back to the “OFF” (left) position.

! WARNINGStarting or running the MiniBike in an enclosed area suchas a garage or shed wherethere is no ventilation ishazardousInhaling exhaust fumes fromthe Mini Bike can cause se-vere injury or deathNever start or run the MiniBike in an inclosedenvironment where there isno ventilation. Always startand run outdoors.

RIDING THE MINI BIKESTARTINGOFF1. Start and warm up the engineaccording to the instructions in thismanual.

2. Place the side kick stand in theup position.

3. Apply the throttle gradually tostart riding. Practice riding MiniBike on a flat dirt surface that hasplenty of room for turning.

! WARNINGTurning the throttle grip to fullthrottle when starting off could behazardous.The Mini Bike could lurch forwardcausing the front wheels to leavethe ground causing loss of control.Always open the throttle graduallywhen starting off from a stoppedposition.

! WARNINGOperating this Mini Bike at exces-sive speeds could be hazardous.Riding at excessive speeds increas-es your chances of losing control ofthe Mini Bike, which could result insevere injury or death.Always go at a speed that is properfor the terrain, visibility, operatingconditions, operator skill, andoperator experience. Always knowthe terrain before riding.

! WARNINGBraking while turning could behazardous.Braking while turning could causethe Mini Bike to slide out of controlwhich could result in severe injuryor death.Before making a turn, slow downand release the brake.

! WARNINGRemoving hands from the handle-bars and/or feet from the footrestwhile operating the Mini Bikecould be hazardous.

Removing both or one hand fromthe handlebars and/or feet fromthe footrests could result in loss ofcontrol of the Mini Bike resulting insevere injury or death.

Always ride with both hands on thehandle bars and both feet on thefootrests while operating the MiniBike.

RIDING THE MINI BIKELoad Guidelines

Load guidelines includingaccessories:

Never exceed the maximum loadcapability of the Mini Bike. Thisincludes the weight of the rider andany cargo. This Mini Bike is ratedat 150lbs. (68kg).

Do not add any accessory or cargoto the handlebars that couldimpede vision or make the MiniBike harder to steer.

Make sure accessories do not get inthe way of any controls of theMiniBike.

After Market partsAfter market parts and accessoriesmay be available from othermanufactures. ColemanPowersports cannot confirm thequality, safety or suitability ofaccessories available. When pur-chasing an accessory, use caution,the handling of the Mini Bike couldbecome affected. Someaccessories may make the MiniBike unsafe to ride. If you haveaquestion about a modification oraccessory, contact your dealer orcall Coleman Powersports.

! WARNINGRiding this Mini Bike withmodifications or adding accessoriescould be hazardous.

Modifications to the Mini Bike,including adding accessories, couldadversely affect the handling ofthe Mini Bike causing an accidentwhich could result in severe injuryof death.

Never Modify this Mini Bike in any-way, including adding accessories,unless the modification is a genuinecertified modification or accessoryapproved by the manufacture.Never modify the Mini Bike withimproper installation. Make sureto follow all instructions recom-mended in the certified modifica-tion. Use only genuine parts. Forquestions, contact your dealer.

MAINTENANCEFor maintenance, your mini bikemay be maintained by anauthorized Coleman Powersportsservice dealer or a repair shop ofyour choosing.Following the propermaintenanceprocedures and time table formaintenance listed in this manual isimportant for the safety of the riderand the life span of the Mini Bike.When riding in harsh conditions,such as water, mud and dust, themaintenance procedures should beperformed more often.

CAUTIONFailing to use compatible parts withthe original replacement partscould damage Mini Bike

Using parts that are of low qualitycould result in Mini Bike break-downs and reduce the useful life ofthe Mini Bike.

Never use parts that are notcompatible with the original parts..

! Air FilterMAINTENANCE

CAUTIONThe air cleaner element needs tobe cleaned or replaced periodically(see chart for cleaning/replace-ment intervals). The air filterelement will need to be cleanedmore often if Mini Bike is ridden inmuddy, wet, or dusty conditions. Aclean air filter will help the Mini Bikerun at peak performance allowingbetter gas mileage, morepowerand will protect the engine fromthedamaging effects of dirt enteringthe engine.

Clean air filter frequently ifMini Bike is driven in wet,muddy or dusty conditions.

Driving in the above condi-tions without cleaning fre-quently can plug up the airfilter which can cause poorgas mileage, low power andcause damage to the engine.

Spark PlugMAINTENANCE

This Mini Bike comes equipped witha CHDY-E6TC spark plug.

To inspect the spark plug, removethe air filter cover and element togain access. Remove spark plugcap (1) then remove the spark plugfrom the engine with the spark plugtool provided.

Inspect the plug for carbon depos-its and clean if necessary. If plugshows excessive carbon, replace theplug.

CHDY-E6TC

Use a thickness feeler to inspect thespark plug gap (2). The spark pluggap should be 0.6 - 0.8mm (0.024 -0.032 in.)

Re-install the inspected plug or newplug until finger tight. Finishtightening plug with a wrench. If theplug is a new plug, tightenapproximately 1/2 turn more withthe wrench. If plug is an old plug,tighten approximately 1/8 turnmorewith a wrench.

Engine OilMAINTENANCE

The proper amount and grade ofengine oil will have a great impacton the life of the engine. Checkingthe oil daily and changing the oil aslisted in the maintenance scheduleis the most important maintenanceprocedure for the engine.

Checking the engine oil1. Make sure the Mini Bike is onlevel ground.2. Check engine oil level by remov-ing the oil fill plug/dipstick (1)located on bottom front left frontside of the engine.3. If engine oil is low, add oil untiloil is at edge of fill hole (2). Use thecorrect grade of oil as listed in thismanual. Do not over or under fillengine with oil, this could damagethe engine.

Changing the engine oil1. Make sure engine is warmbeforeattempting to drain the oil. Awarm engine will help the oil drainquicker.2. Remove the oil fill plug (1)3. Remove the drain bolt (3) locatedon the bottom of the engine.4. Allow the oil to drain in an ap-propriate container. Note: Disposeof oil at an oil recycle center.5. Install the drain plug and fill withthe appropriate type of oil as listedin this manual. This mini biketakes .37qt. (.35L) of engine oil.6. Re- install fill cap, Start engineand allow to run for a fewminutes,Re-check oil level and fillaccordingly.

Throttle Cable adjustmentIt is important that the throttle griphave a certain amount of free playso the throttle does not rise whenthe handlebars are turned from leftto right.

The hand grip throttle free play (2)should be .078 - .24 in (2-6 mm)To adjust free play1. Loosen jam nut (3)2. Turn adjusting nut (4) to propersetting3. Once throttle grip is at the properfree play, re-tighten the jam nut (3).

NOTE: After any adjustment, makesure throttle snaps back to idlewhen released.

Fuel Hose InspectionInspect the fuel hose for any cracksor leaks and make sure all clampsare in place. Replace the fuel hoseif any defects are found.

Brake Adjustment

The brake adjustment (4) is locatedon the rear brake caliper assembly.

To adjust brakes, loosen nut (4) .Increase or decrease the tensionof the brake cable by pulling cabletighter or by allowing more slack.

Adjusting the valves should be doneby an authorized service center.Proper valve gap will help Mini Bikerun at peak performance. Followthe valve gap adjustment intervalslisted in the maintenance chart.

MAINTENANCECentrifugal ClutchCleaning and lubricationTo help ensure the maximum lifeout of the Centrifugal clutch. It isimportant to clean and lubricatethe clutch after every 5 hours ofoperation. To Clean and lubricate,follow the instructions below.Make sure engine is notrunning and that the engine andclutch has had time to cool.2. Remove clutch cover (1).3. Wipe off Centrifugal clutch (2)with a clean rag.4. Lubricate Centrifugal clutch (2)using the same type of motor oilthat is used in the engine. Placea few drops of motor oil on thedrive shaft (3) where the clutchis attached. Do not oil any otherportion of the clutch. DO NOTPLACE ANY OIL IN THE LARGEHOLES IN THE CLUTCH. StorageIf the Mini Bike is left unused for anextended period of time proper stor-age maintenance is required.

1. Wash Mini Bike thoroughly, thenwax painted parts with a non abrasiveauto wax. Coat vinyl seat and rubberparts with a vinyl/rubber protectant.Note: Keep water away from airintake and muffler outlet while wash-ing to avoid water from entering theengine and/or components.2. Drain carburetor by placing fuelvalve (1) to the off (horizontal) posi-tion and opening the drain screw(2). Allow all fuel to drain from thecarburetor. Once fuel is drained, re-tighten drain screw (2). Note: Makesure to drain fuel in a proper storagecontainer.3. Fill fuel tank to full with gasolinemixed with fuel stabilizer asrecommended by the fuel stabilizermanufacture. Note: Fuel stabilizercan be purchased at mostmotorcycleshops and auto parts stores.4. Washing the Mini Bike1. Wash mud and dirt off MiniBike with low pressure water froma hose. Do not use high pressurenozzles, this could allow water toenter the engine causing damage.

2. Wash Mini Bike using a mild de-tergent or car soap using a sponge,soft rag or brush. Do not use anycleaning materials that couldscratch the surfaces.

Note: Be careful not to allowwaterto enter the muffler outlet, air filterintake, brake cable, throttle cable orswitches.

Transporting

1. Make sure fuel valve (1) isturned to the OFF (Horizontal)position.

2. Drain carburetor by turning fuelvalve (1) to the off position andopening the drain screw (2). Allowall fuel to drain from the carbure-tor. Once fuel is drained, re-tightendrain screw (2).Note: Make sure to drain fuel in aproper storage container.

Your emission control systemmay include parts such as the carburetor or fuel injectionsystem, the ignition system, catalytic converter and engine computer, if it is equipped.Also included may be hoses, belts, connectors and other emission-relatedassemblies.

Where a warrantable condition exists, TaoMotor will repair your vehicle at no cost to you,including diagnosis, parts and labor.

If an emission-related part on your vehicle is defective, the part will be repaired or re-placed by TaoMotor. This is your emission control system defectswarranty.

NOTICE! Use of any TaoMotor vehicle in any type of competitive event completely andabsolutely voids this and all other warranties offered by TaoMotor.

OWNER’S WARRANTY RESPONSIBILITIES

As the vehicle owner, you are responsible for the performance of the requiredmainte-nance listed in your owner’s manual. TaoMotor recommends that you retain allreceiptscovering maintenance on your vehicle, but TaoMotor cannot deny warranty solely for thelack of receipts or for your failure to ensure the performance of all scheduledmainte-nance.

Repair or replacement as a result of:(1) Accident(2) Misuse(3) Repairs improperly performed or replacements improperly installed(4) Use of replacement parts or accessories not conforming to TaoMotor’s specifi-cations which adversely affect performance and/or(5) Use in competitive racing or related events.

B. Inspections, replacement of parts and other services and adjustments requiredfor required maintenance.

C. Any vehicle equipped with an odometer or hour meter on which the odometermileage or hour meter reading has been changed so that actual mileage cannot be readi-ly determined.

III. Limited Liability

A. The liability of TaoMotor under this emission control system warranty is limitedsolely to the remedying of defects in material or workmanship by an authorized TaoMo-tor’s dealer at its place of business during customary business hours. This warrantydoesnot cover inconvenience or loss of use of the vehicle or transportation of the vehicle toor from the TaoMotor’s dealer. TaoMotor shall not be liable for any other expenses, lossor damage, whether direct, incidental, consequential or exemplary arising in connectionwith the sale or use of or inability to use the vehicle for any purpose. Some states donot allow the exclusion or limitation of any incidental or consequential damages, sotheabove limitations may not apply to you.

B. No express emission control system warranty is given by us except as specifi-cally set forth herein. Any emission control system warranty implied by law, including anywarranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, is limited to the expressemission control system warranty terms stated in this warranty. The foregoing statementsof warranty are exclusive and in line of all other remedies. Some states do not allowlimitations on how long an implied warranty lasts so the above limitations may not applyto you.

C. No dealer is authorized to modify this TaoMotor Limited EmissionControlSystemWarranty.

IV. Legal Rights.

A. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rightswhich vary from state to state.

B. This emission control system warranty is in addition to the standard limitedwarranty for all vehicles.

V. Additional Information.

Any replacement part that is equivalent in performance and durability may be used in theperformance of any maintenance or repairs. However, TaoMotor is not liable for theseparts. The owner is responsible for the performance of all required maintenance. Suchmaintenance may be performed at a service establishment or by any individual. The war-ranty period begins on the date the motorcycle is delivered to the retailcustomer/owner.
