Brass Instruments•Brass instruments are made of brass most of the time, but can also be made out of other metals too.•All brass instruments have three major sections:
a mouthpiecea length of tubingand a bell
Mouthpieces
• Big instruments need big mouthpieces to make the sound.
• Smaller instruments can have smaller mouthpieces to make sure the sound is high enough.
Valves and slides
All Brass Instruments have valves EXCEPT the trombone!
